Anniversary...

Sweetie, I know it hurts and it feels hopeless to be stuck in a depression, I've been there. You probably don't want to hear that things WILL get better and turn around. You just have to trust that they will in time.
It's good to lean on your support system and keep on working with your doctor to find something that will work for you. I remember that the panic attacks seemed worse to me than the depression did. Like I was going to have my heart suddenly burst from my chest and start skidding across the floor.

Have you looked into bodywork of any kind? I had an amazing friend that really helped me get over some of my (many ha!) issues that I had. Just a thought. Also Rescue Remedy helped with my panic attacks. I didn't care that it might be a placebo, I just needed to feel in control of anything related to the panic attack.

Can someone answer this for me re Anti D

i have just been reading minimus thread about jws tight to practice their religion and there was a lot of talk about blood transfusions.. so something i could never fully understand is the anti d immunoglobulin injection which is given to rh negative mothers during and after pregnancy.

i am rh neg and i received this after each pregnancy and was led to believe it was a conscience matter, and yet it is made from blood collected by human blood donors............was i wrong to have it (to clarify i was a jw at the time)............was it a matter of conscience....and if so what is the difference between that and a blood transfusion, if they both come from other humans blood.. fi.

I would imagine that Anti-D is viewed much as other vaccines and immunizations are. Which would be why its/was a conscience matter.

Rh immunoglobin ( Anti-D) is a blood product that is produced from the plasma of donors. It is further filtered and screened to finally produce Antibody D. If any of the babies blood gets in to the mom's bloodstream then the anti d will bind to the babies red blood cells and remove them from circulation before mom has a chance to make her own antibodies against those red cells.

Antibodies are really just basically proteins flooding around in the blood stream waiting to do their job. They would only get classified as a blood product because they use the blood as a means of transportation.

I successfully passed all requirements for my Transfusion Lab rotation in school!

Despite having 5 quizzes, 3 tests (2 finals, 1 normal) 2 assignments due AND a final lab practical this week I have remained sane and fairly rational (although it is only Wednesday so it could still all go horribly wrong) Chocolate has helped. Coffee also.

I tested my blood and I'm A positive!! If I need blood I except all A pos JWDers to donate! lol
