Glad to hear it all worked out for you in the end! That must have been a big relief to get that phone call!

to make a long story short- last saturday, we put an offer down on a house.
then sunday and mon.
we did some research on mortgages and decided that we could get a better rate of interest if we waited till next spring to buy a home.
Glad to hear it all worked out for you in the end! That must have been a big relief to get that phone call!

my mother called last night to tell me that the oldest daughter of one of my best childhood friends had died of a brain tumor.
i remember when robin was pregnant with stephanie 25 years ago.
i grew up with robin and her 2 sisters lisa and julie.
I am sorry for your loss Joelbear.

we were told at our convention that "some" brothers and sisters exercise up to an hour or 2 a day.
"some" even join gyms.
then we were told that this would be "self-serving" and a real waste of valuable time better spent on theocratic things.. ouch!.
Dear Hillary~
The irony is that what I have explianed to Richie is exactly the same information a caring doctor would give him and he would get charged for it!
This is not an example of irony either. I am done trying to speak with you, unless you come up with a medical or healthcare diploma.

I told him that may be true at present, as he is a young man, but in 15-20 years time he will have severe health issues if he does not attend to his weight issues. The irony is that what I have explianed to Richie is exactly the same information a caring doctor would give him and he would get charged for it!
Sorry but I disagree with you, He is healthy, his levels are good and he exercises/works out often. If anything a "caring" doctor would inquire about what he eats not how much, and that is between Richie and his doctor.
What is ironic is you insisting on dispensing health advice to someone who flat out didn't want/ask for it.

hilary ~ you are missing the point entirely. There is a huge difference between obese and overweight. I agree with you that obesity is an epidemic and does cost tax payers their hard earned money, however it is possible to be overweight and still be healthier then a slim person.
And yes, these issues are emotional. I would be equally upset if someone where to lecture me about my lifestyle and my health based on a picture that they saw, and give me unsolicted advice regarding my so called health issues!
Damselfly
Yup. Just like slim. |

disfellowshippinga loving provision?.
"holy, holy, holy is jehovah god, the almighty.
Yes my disfellowshipping was a loving act, because in biblical times I would have been stoned to death for my actions. But because they are loving they "allowed" me to live.
I feel that love every day.

i am thinking of taking on a jw with the 607 question.
my problem is that i dont really understand the whole thing.
has there been a post in the past that tells how to argue it?
Good Lord! My head hurts just thinking about it. I didn't understand ( or care ) then, I can't do it now.

Richie ~ I agree with you! your weight is YOUR business.I know lots of "overweight" people that are wayyyyyy more healthy and fit then the skinny "norm". My boyfriend weighs more then he should but his blood pressure is good, he eats healthy home cooked meals(...I know what I'm doing) and does manual labour all day long. He is fit and in much better shape then the client's I see on a regular basis that think because they are a size 4 or a 32 inch waist that they don't have to look after themselves.
I don't have any respect for anyone that criticizes someones size, it is none of your business and that is how eating disorders happen. Ask me how I know that!!!!!!
