  my father (a jw elder) has had several businesses for a number of years.

  (thanks dad i'll follow your example really well and become an excellent business person.

  Dragonlady...that's what I meant about using "ceasar's laws"

  Mrs. Jones....I think the decorations are wonderful....also be sure to ask for Birthday's (not the year, just day and month), so you can make sure the "sign" they're born under is compatable with the rest of the employees!

  what was the deal with furbies?

  one of matt's friends got me a furby over the weekend off of ebay.

  i wanted one as soon as i remembered a jdub telling me that they were forbidden...i never knew why...does anyone know?

  i played with it all day monday...i couldn't find any reason why the jdubs would ban them.... .

  I loved my daughter's furby....she played with it a great deal and then put it down in the kitchen....one day I moved it! A week later, while entertaining a group of friends (all of whom were either law enforcement or military members) I walked into my kitchen to a horrible sound coming from my refrigerator. I was almost in tears fearing my refrigerator was broken and I'd have to spend $$$$ I did not have on a new one. I unplugged it and the noise continued......dumb me I plugged it back in and the noise continued.....I had my significant other (we're both to old to be boyfriend or girlfriend) listen, he heard it also.....panic time. We unplugged the machine again and the noise continued....suddenly I looked on top of the refrigerator....there sat the abandoned furby......with it's battery running down....the noise was it's death gurgle! The batteries were removed and it has sat in the top of the hall closet ever since. Who says furby's are demonized!

  I came trying to find an old friend and have met a whole group of new friends (I hope!). It was lonesome in the "world" not having any friends that understood how I grew up and having to pretend when I did talk to my family that I was okay with their preaching and that I might come back!

  I keep coming back to JWD for the sanity!

  I need advice, please help.

  i went to meeting last night (don't ask) and someone asked me to go out in service.

  i was taken by surprise and actually agreed to do street work on saturday.

  the sister that i'm supposed to work with has always been very kind to me and i know that there is no one else in our hall that will go out with her on saturday morning.

  When I faded, I did it gradually also. If you've only been making one or two meetings a month, you really don't qualify to go in field service. Rather than call with an excuse....just don't show up. If the congo has the right to be rude and ask why, you have the right to be rude and not give a reason. I find caller ID very helpful and if I don't want to answer the door when someone knocks or rings the bell, I don't/didn't. The WTB&TS is an either or cult.....you're either in or your out.

  Good Luck....keep in touch, it seems everyone here is willing to help, at least that's been my experience over the last few weeks.

  my sister-in-law emailed me, and asked me about some of the sites i have visited.

  how did i find out about the un, and what doesn't support the 607/1914 thing.

  apparently they haven't been to the meetings in four months.

  Mrs.Jones....it is illegal in the U.S. to discriminate in hiring and employee because of race, religion, sexual orientation and/or disability. Be very discrete when interviewing...the JW's seem to know all the rules, regulations and angles of "ceasars's law" and use it when it is to their best interests.

  wow, yeah i was looking fr the theocratic ministry school oral review questions and i came across an apostate site!

  the site was www.jehovahs-witness.com and was just fill of retarded apostates!

  they were not only using a domain name and header name that denotes a conection with the actual watchtower society, but where using it to blasphem the jehovah's true organization in order to help people break away.

  Thank you Netty, I really wanted to use my red pencil...you beat me too it! Well not Mr./Mrs./Ms. Visitor......are you counting the time you are spending on the internet? Have you told the elders you are using the internet so much and that you discovered this site and posted?

  I too went on the internet under Jehovah's Witnesses......I was not at all confused into thinking a site that states it is for RECOVERING Jehovah's Witness, was in fact an OFFICIAL SITE for the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. Please take your brand of Christian Love and Caring and .....no never mind, I won't say it...I crawled out of the dirt years ago and won't go back in.

  Feeling really sad and worried

  i feel really sad and worried today.

  yesterday, the police announced that those evil people things who carried out the london bombings came from my own county of west yorkshire.

  on my way to work today, i walked through the market hall where there are both muslim and non-muslim stall holders.

  Sad Emo,

  So sorry you feel this way....you are in our prayers and while I agree with all of the above.....I don't care or agree with Mary's tone of voice (typing, whatever). It seems to me we've all come out of one group of judgmental bigots and we don't need to keep that attitude. I agree with the comment "be vigilant not vigilante's".
