  here is the scan:.

  what it is interesting is that the french's bethel recognise that some article have circulated on the internet, but says that they are exagereted and very violent against the watchtower.. at the end, the french's writer is very thankfull (but to whom?

  ) to have receveid the information concerning the requirement of association, saying that they have realised that the requirement was against their principle with this information.. is someone could translate it in english ?.

  "We urge none to attend the Conventions. If, in the providence of God, your affairs are not favorable, remember that He is able to overrule in this and in all things for your good. The lesson of submission learned in staying at home may be just as important a one for you as any blessing which you could secure by attending. Nevertheless, all who love the Lord, who are trusting in the precious blood of Jesus and who have made a full consecration of their lives in the Divine service will be cordially welcome"

  Archaeology vs WBTS ( who build the pyramids?)

  in my book of bible stories (1978), chapter 27, the wbts give the impression to readers, that israelites, participated in building egyptian pyramids.

  also, the watchtower - november 15, 1987, page 30, raises the two following questions: "do the pyramids of giza (near modern cairo) bring to mind abused slaves toiling under hot sun to drag huge stones into place?

  and do you imagine hebrew slaves among them?

  His measurments were false for some of them and corrected by his assistant's son in the last end of nineteenth century, the Morton's brother, Bible's student found differents measurments too...

  Some of speculation of Piazzi Smyth were very criticable particularly this two one:

  2. Circumference of the earth.
  3. Distance from the Earth from the Sun

  The Egyptian's measure was found before Smyth by Isaac Newtown and was true, Smyth and his followers didn't care about it and have invented a new measurment that Russell used too.

  Hi Bj,

  perhaps this is some vestige of the pyramidology of Russell. He believes that it was in fact Joseph under the direction of God who build the pyramid of Giza.

  You think that a photo of BB could attract me, you are true ;-)

  For your question about the "ancient worthies" or something like that, i have searched in the french's translation of the books of Russell, they translate it by "Ancien Dignes", i am not sure that in french, that is sound good that's why that i have translated it by "ancien fidèles"...

  The french's translator of the Watchtower when they talk about Hebrew 11:1 write simply "les patriarches", perhaps this is the best sum-up.
