  the debate which divided and which still divides the small world of the former jehovah's witnesses on the french internet, is about to know if the founder of the jehovah's witnesses, namely charles taze russell was a mason.

  having been an actor of this debate, it seemed to me convenient of summary my ideas in writing to take advantage of it the readers of this site.. .

  russell took his ideas from the american second adventism.

  russell an unnoticed freemason ?.

  according to the partisans of russell's membership of the freemasonry, the russells, father and son, would have been particularly important masons, proves by the fact that russell would have build an masonic organization to realize the claimed purpose of the the freemasonry: a plot to destroy christianity.. .

  obviously in support of their thesis, these partisans do not bring any masonic document proving the membership of the father and the son to the masonry.

  I remember I wasn't allowed to say, "Mon Dieu," (Oh my God!) as a witness who spoke French as a child. How about you?

  Stupid rule, i have never heard it before. But in france, we don't use to say "Jesus" or "my God" very frequently, perhaps this is the reason.

  Hi madapostate,

  I don't see how your efforts to say that Masons don't use pyramid/egyptian imagery helps you to answer the question whether Russell was or wasn't a Mason?

  In this post, the question was not to know if mason used or not the imagery of the pyramids, but if pyramid was their major symbols as Russell claims, nothing more.

  Yes masons use pyramids *sometimes* but this is not their major's symbol as Russell said. Conclusion, in 1913, Russell didn't know a lot of things about masonry.

  If Russell was a mason he used to some major's symbol of masonry, but pyramids is a very little used symbol, cross and crown is used only used by Knight Templar and the wing disk sun is not a major symbol of masonry, even if they used it sometimes to decorate some particular rooms in their hall, as for example an egyptian room.
