Light a Candle for Oompa

(we love and miss you, oompa.).

I lit a candle for Oompa. He was a a big part of our JW.Net family. We saw his pain,,felt his pain, and some of us shared his pain. It doesnt matter what shape his mental health was in when he took his life. He was a person and he was loved. May he RIP now.

What REALLY Convinced You To Leave/Lose Faith in JWs?

id like to know what personally convinced you jws are wrong about a particular doctrine/practice, that they are not gods true.people and/or what made you leave emotionally/physically.

The United Nations fiasco, 607 date, No love within the congergation, harsh treatment of some of the sisters and brothers.. I felt sad that I had brought some family in and wasted a lot of our life there but live and learn and I am very grateful that we are out.

I know of 2.. an older lady who hung herself and a young man who jumped off a bridge..

At This Point In Your Life Would You Care If You Were Disfellowshipped or Disassociated?

I disassociated myself seven years ago but due to circumstances I dont ever think it was announced. Most of the JW's still speak to me. I do not care if they DA or DF me as I am "done" and I am so grateful to be out.

Views on handing out literature during field service

it is brought to my attention that some non jw's deliberately accept jw literature just to throw it in the bin.. their intentions are perceived as positive meaning these non jw's throwing their magazines away is a good thing.. what is your view on the matter?.

should they accept or not accept their literature, and why?.

is accepting literature benefiting or damaging the cult, and why?.

If you accept the mags.. they will return and work on you to have a study. If you say no, not interested and please put me on a do not call list it will end their visits for a year or so maybe. I think financially it is worse for the borg to not get those mags placed. they will have a lot of old outdated mags to leave in laundermats.
