  Cynthia Franz died December 29, 2013

  i am sad to report that while being treated for various ailments in an atlanta hospital for eight days, cynthia franz died of massive heart failure on december 29, 2013. .

  cynthia franz comes from a very large, loving, close-knit family.

  they have decided to keep cynthia's funeral arrangements private.

  My sister died

  just got word that my sister died.

  she had surgery for heart valve replacement about 5 weeks ago, and when they opened her up for it they found cancer.

  we had an extra special relationship since i was her "birthday present" when she turned 10 in 1951. this is my second sibling to die of cancer in 14 months..

  my deepest sympathy it is so hard to lose our sisters... my oldest sister 10 years older than me as well.. passed away last november... i miss her so much... just be good to yourself.. your sister would want that... xo

  Christmas Songs?

  there are certain songs sung at christmas time that have nothing whatsoever to do with christmas.

  i've been reading lyrics lately to make sure, then i make comments to my uber-jw wife, who really, really hates what i'm saying.

  for example, the song, "let it snow" has nothing to do with christmas.

  My brother died yesterday

  "albert" was 55 years old, and the fifth-born of seven children.

  i am the second oldest and babysat him often while he was growing up --- and while i was still at home.. yesterday, albert was out taking his usual morning stroll around his small town, when he collapsed on the sidewalk.

  the doctors said it was a heart attack.
