(Fluff) Confession: I'm obsessed with this board

I am obsessed also with this board..I rarely ever post as I am shy about it but I am here every day right along with you all. I have been through every emotion possible with this board. The people here are great and have encouraged me so much. Wherever we are in our stage of leaving we know there are other going through the same thing. We all learn from each other. We keep each other sane. No one else can imagine what we have been through or why we stayed. I am always happy when I see new ones come to this board. It is here we can find our peace of mind. I will try to post more.

My Childhood Friend had a heart attack.
by Undecided inwhen i was growing up from 7 to 20 years old i had the best friend in the world.
we were together at school and at our homes in the country almost all the time.
at night when we got our drivers license we would go out to movies, play pool, and just have fun almost every night except meeting nights, he wasn't a jw.

I hope your dear friend will be ok...I have a best friend too that I am very close to and I can't imagine how I would feel if anything happened to her. Keep going to see him and talk to him about your friendship and your memories together..Give him positive thoughts. Keeping you and your best friend in my prayers.

Prayers Needed

i am going to see her and i will have to drive 1000 miles by myself.

Canadians - This Hour has 22 Minutes - Going to see show being shot tonight
by kwintestal inreally, this tv show isn't shown much outside of canada, but is there anyone here that watches it?
tomorrow is mrs kwin (heart2heart)'s birthday, so we're going out tonight.
i was able to get tickets for the filming of this tv show, so we're going to watch it then get supper and then go to a bar and listen to a band or something like that.. i've watched the show for many years, it's not as good as when rick mercer was on it, but it's still good.

Elder's School Notes Part 1: Quit being so materialistic, you slackers!

i will post this in 6 parts, to give people a chance to read smaller chunks and comment on them.. a couple of introductory notes: i wrote an awful lot of stuff, and will not post everything.
for each talk, i will post 3 sections: (1) general synopsis, (2) personal thoughts & observations, (3) particularly egregious quotations.. the primary speakers, who delivered more than 1/2 of the talks, were a circuit overseer and a guest from brooklyn bethel.. to protect anonymity, we will refer to the sadly inane circuit overseer as brother sico.. and the old-timer lifelong brother from bethel, completely out of touch, as brother bethel-coot.. one more introductory comment: it seems the main points the society wanted to send to elders were:.
