  Why is there so much nastiness on the board lately???

  Window Washers

  question:.

  why do i see so frequently the witnesses referred to as "window washers" on here?

  i have been a witness (though only recently "conscious") for my whole life.

  If anyone is interested, I still have some pre-1995 squeegees and extension poles I'm no longer using. They are authentic, and even have some leftover soap residue from my pioneer days. They are quite valuable, but I'm willing to part with them if the price is right.

  hi guys,.

  thank you for the warm welcome to the forum boards after years of just looking and reading.. i have been impressed by the many comments that have followed the introduction of dontplaceliterature and the balanced, humourus and individual views of the brothers and sisters (we are all human beings so as far as i am concerned no matter what religious persuasion we are all one family!

  ) that have replied with both candid and honest and often heartfelt comments.. i have started a topic and will give the reason for asking first, so anyone can skip the "getting to know me" bit.. i am currently wondering as a baptised member of the org, who hasnt attended either meetings or memorial in the last 4 years.

  If you DA, do it for your own reasons and never because someone else suggests it. If you have nothing to gain by writing a letter, then there's no reason to do it.

  I DA'd because I wanted them completely out of my life asap, and I welcomed the subsequent shunning. That's not the case for everyone.

  It's so sad he cant stand up for himself.

  He's more than capable of standing up for himself. The question is, are you worth it? I think not. As far as I'm concerned, your earlier comments class you among the lowest of the low, and worth no consideration whatsoever.

  even in our jw days, after an assembly part, student talk, public talk etc.

  the kind words of our brothers and sisters contributed to our self-esteem.

  That's a healthy approach finally-free.

  Thank you. I thought I'd add an example. I've taken up 3D modelling and animation as a hobby. I initially posted my work only on my Facebook page. My family and friends paid me many compliments that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, but didn't help to improve the quality of my work. I now post my work on forums for 3D graphic artists, many of whom do this professionally. The comments aren't always positive, but the critiques of professionals has taught me a lot and improved the quality of my work.

  a witness related an illustration they heard at an assembly.

  and sadly,they thought it was so profound.

  it was brought out how some young people feel the restrictions of the "truth" cage them in.

  Maybe the governing body should be kept in jail for their own protection.

  My bird's cage is always open except at night when he's sleeping. My livingroom is his domain, and my furniture has the scars to prove it. I found he's much happier and less moody since I adopted the open cage policy.

  Nation wide protest on the shunning policies of The Watchtower Organization!

  on jan 21 and 22, 2011 a nation wide protest is being organized to alert people on the discrimination that is blatantly taking place in the watchtower organization.

  the public needs to know about the disfellowshipping and subsequent shunning that is going on in the jehovah's witness cult.

  this flagrantly heinous,wicked practice must be stopped.
