initially upon entering the religion what were the positive things you experienced ?.

i had to start this thread in light of today's watchtower study.
in paragraph 14,15 they mention the grounds for separation.
no scriptures are sighted but i am well aware of the support they usually use.. i am so sick of the watchtower making crap up!
hi all you fellow michiganders.. i wanted to make you aware that the meetup site entitled, "ex-jehovah's witnesses of michigan" will not be disolved.
i decided since today was the last day before it would be no more, i should step up, and so i gladly did.. seeing that there has not been one meetup since it's inception, i plan to change that.
i know there is at least one person from here who is registered with our meetup.
I haven't seen any Michigan ex jws since 2005. If you see Rhonda down there tell her Walter from Toronto says hello.

She suggested a small snack at bedtime with the last Metformin. Give that a try and see if it does the trick.
I'm going to try that. My doctor told me to eat dinner before 6 PM, and absolutely no snacks after 8 PM. Only water. It made little sense to me to go that long without eating every day, but then she gives me hell if I tell her I skipped lunch just once. I don't make a practice of skipping lunch, but I see little reason to eat if I'm not hungry, especially since I'm overweight.
For a while I was taking a chromium supplement and it seemed to help with the high spikes, so I may try that again.

My doctor has suggested going on the needles a couple of times, but so far I've been resistent to the idea. I may not have a choice though. Lately my fasting BG level is around 13.5 mmol/l in the morning, about twice what it should be. Today was a good day. It was 12.1.

I was prescribed Januvia recently.
I'm taking Januvia as well. One in the morning along with 2 metformins. I take 2 more metformins with my dinner as well. I find the Januvia is my most expensive drug, and has the least impact on my readings.

Apply for the Trillium, or Ontario Drug Benefits Program. This will assist you with your med's.
I'll have to look in to that. Funny, I worked for the Ontario Liberals for nearly 11 years and I never heard of it until now. I was probably too busy reading their 'message of the day", "talking points", and other propaganda. Bloody political cult...

I haven't had much luck controlling mine in the past year. The medications aren't working as well as they used to. I control the carbs pretty well, but exercise is difficult because I've had too many injuries in the past and they keep coming back to haunt me. Yes, even walking, because sometimes my knees or right ankle give out on me and I'm flat on my face on the sidewalk. Being unemployed for the last 8 months doesn't help since all my medications add up to about $400 every month. Unless I find work in the next 2 months I won't be able to keep up with the cost of meds.
I might be better off scrapping the pills and just eat a tub of ice cream every day. At least I'll die happy.
