  Crisis of Conscience/ISoCF Library Campaign

  many libraries do not have copies yet, as it is far from 'mainstream' reading for most people.

  i propose that we can all do a small deed that can/might be a huge favor to our former 'brethren' in the 'truth'.

  check with the local library, see if they have the books on the shelves.

  Who is really steering the ship - GB or Legal Dept.?

  thinking on the recent news of wt settlements of numerous settlements in child abuse cases.... i would imagine that the decsion to settle was reached by the legal dept.

  of the wts.

  the question in my mind is, did they have to fight for "approval" from the gb to reach that decision to pay out (most likely) millions of dollars?

  Do the JW's have their own lawyers living at headquarters? They must be paying them lots of money?

  Most of them either got their degrees at Bethel or went to law school like Glen How in Canada, to champion the dub cause. Just because one is an attorney does not mean that they are truly ethical. Whats the joke about the lawyer that falls off a boat and the sharks carry him back to the boat as a professional courtesy?

  It seems to me that the core beleivers will see the cutback and ongoing demise of the WTS as the beast 'turning on' Gods 'true people'

  This will be true, but who cares about those characters. And besides, when Armageddon doesn't follow even some of those diehard people will start questioning.

  The Release of the NEW issue of the Revelation book

  the witnesses i associate with were discussing the latest version of the revelation book, and what new changes there were.

  that they would have to get a new copy over the old copy so they would have the newest information.. i love that!

  their minds are pre-programed to just accept new change and re-writing of "jehovah's" original "channeled" word given by the wts in past issues.. oh, that's right...things will become "brighter and brighter"!

  Yep the light gets brighter and brighter. Now we know that Christ didn't return to the spiritual temple in 1914, it was in 1919! Oh wow, what a revelation! That and $.75 I can get a cup of bad coffee in the local deli. Such stupidity.

  a bethel insider in the know told me that all of the child abuse lawsuits where the watchtower bible and tract society was one of the defendants were settled back in the beginning of this year.

  i questioned it and called napa myself and they were absolutely settled back then.

  They cannot prevent journalists to do their job, they only limit the information they can get from the people who accepted the settlements

  Agreed, and there will be many many documents in the public domain from these cases that journalists can obtain. We just need the story to be picked up.

  I wouldn't be surprised if Legal has to make their case with the GB wishing that it were different. But when you come right down to it, its about money and that means Legal has the power.
