We all know its possible to not have a strong case against WT, yet know that their policies caused you irreparable harm. They are slippery, duplicitous people (at least the leadership is). Its one of the many reasons why so many people hate that organization.
we have met several times with the group and the more we meet the better the meet-ups get.. the pixs have just been posted.. http://exjw.meetup.com/333/photos/376023/#4459200.
let us join in giving heart-felt thanks to the loyal worshiper of jehovah who took the time to post this year's dc drama on youtube.. i'm sure the wt is cool with this.
You know, this may be something we haven't really accounted for. They are sounding nuttier lately, what with the elders and college, this drama...What person in their right mind could buy that crap about having to live with less and less? I hope all of their conventions go on YouTube.

almost everyone who leaves the watchtower organization acknowledges the fact that the jehovahs witnesses leadership is quite masterful when it comes to using guilt as a means of motivation and coercion.
throughout the watchtower articles, convention talks, and talks given by traveling overseers, there are often statements woven into the material that are designed to evoke feelings of guilt in those who are not robotically falling in line with all organizational programs and group-think.
in addition to the many cliches, buzzwords, and catch-phrases used in watchtower material, the organization also makes comparisons between the field service activities of witnesses in one part of the world to another part of the world.
I know my toxic Mom learned a lot from the WT. As time passes and she mellows out, she is less and less like them. And more and more like a loving parent.
i have been thinking about this since yesterday or maybe a little bit longer, but cognac's situation situation really struck me and so many others that are in a situation that seems not only like psychological torture, but where someone almost seems imprisoned against their will through the wts society, it seems to happen in marriages, but not always.. i am a big forensics person, so i was watching some mindless program on television about forensics or something like that (could have even been law & order) and they were trying to find a woman who had "disappeared" and what had actually happened was that a group of people who didn't really know each other, had this silent group who would pick someone up from one point to another, get them away from their abusive spouse/situation, and help them find a job and a place to stay.
it took them at least three weeks to track the person down because each person really didn't know the other, they were just one check off point for another.. and i was thinking, couldn't we create a safe haven for those in those high pressured situations?
i would be willing to help start it, financially support it, etc i am just in the planning, thought process stage, but i would love to have an aresnal of help from others, who could assist people that are trying to break free, start over, and all of that.. would anyone else be interested?
