but then, not as sick as the truth of what he is saying!http://www.freeminds.org/blogs/ma-that-boy-just-ain-t-right/.
i couldn't resist posting this.
but i had to wait until i stopped laughing so hard.
Wouldn't it be nice if dubs would just say it like it is?
Amen!

Absolutely, particularly if they married became he came in. A prominent case of that is Emmanuel Zerbides in London, famous organizer of Meander Tours which takes JW's through the British Museum. Even if he married after he became a Witness he might after after a long time be appointed going by the rule that even someone who has sinned "grossly" after three to five years can get the whole thing expunged.

well - i had been wanting to do this for a long time , to question a legal department representative at bethel about the child abuse settlements and jw child abuse, since last year when the news came out about it.
especially since my dad , an elder for years was never aware of it and has on his own taken steps to see that families with children are informed if a former pedophile is in their congregation.
i was curious as to what the current views and policies in place are .
and we figured there was no reason to inform congregations as they'd see the news reports and we felt the elders didn't need to hear about it.
They have got to be kidding.

i was watching a special on the atacama desert in south america and they were showing huge sections of the desert that were bands of gypsum rock.
it breaks down almost immediately with just the tiniest bit of water.
they estimate it's age at 140 million years... so no water for at least a few million years!.
The GB has so much riding on Noah. He was a "preacher of righteousness", so dubs should be. Jesus mentioned that the last days would be like the days of Noah. No Noah, then what about their end times cultish prophecies. They are probably married to the flood story, no matter how stupid it may be.

There is no way that will work and for one very simple reason. Those who even know about this are already "weak in the truth" and definitely in the minority. Most JW's don't even know about this plan. How could they even consider doing it so as to initiate a mass exodus? Not that most JW's would even consider such a thing. They are subjects of cult mind control. Why would they go against their religion?

ok ,so if new annointed ones can still come about , who here has ever heard of any annointed ones in their congregation or surrounding congregations getting disfellowshipped or simply fading out of the organization.
thus allowing some new annointed one to take their place?.
and if someone says "hey i am annointed" do they have to check with bethal who then checks a list or something to see if there is a annointed one somewhere in the world who just got d'fd?.
I've known several, even served on the committee of one. It's more common than the GB would ever want to admit.

i was disappointed in this book, i kept reading it hoping it would get better.
i guess i got spoiled by this forum.
i have found better writings and stories here and a heck of a lot more humor.
I found it good as well. My way of thinking when I was a JW in some ways closely tracked hers. So it was helpful in processing some of the thoughts and feelings of those days in my own mind. The dissonance produced by WT's way of thinking can be devastating to anyone with any kind of perfectionistic tendencies or OCD. That may be what affected the author.

hi all, i've been reading here for awhile and made a few posts before realizing i should probably introduce myself.
it's so refreshing to read ppl's thoughts on these topics, which run deeply personal, and i've never been able to express myself freely, so thanks for such a great forum.. i was born and raised a dub, by my "spiritually single" mother (dad was an unbeliever..still is) me and my 3 other siblings all fell away before getting baptised, other than my older sis, who was df'd at 16. unfortunatley in my early 20's a sister "took an interest in me and we had a bible study for 2 years before getting baptized at 24.
(what a regret) since then i floundered, flopped, got df'd a year later for dum, dum, dum..."fornication and then reinstated 9 months later.
Welcome.
