  I passed my test!!!!!!

  thank god ( well i know all of you wont ) but i did !!!!!!.

  in canada when you reach 80 you must have written tests to see if you should still drive .

  then every two years after that....i will be 82 in may so i had to go for mine today .. i was so scared as we had so much snow today,i hate driving in the snow.. all my family ( grand kids >not jws) i am sure were hoping i wouldnt pass as they all.

  Its amazing how good I felt making a fresh start. My marriage ended too and so I never felt better. I was able to push the reset button on everything in my life at once. Starting over completely, yet still having the best of my former life: my job, my daughter, and all the knowledge and experience of forty years. Wow! I have never felt better. I now do things right, make wise choices and enjoy the blessings. I'm saying this to make the point that its possible to be happier than you have ever been AFTER the JW's.

  I would have faded if my wife and the elders didn't make that impossible. But I refused to be DF'd when I had broken no moral principle. So I wrote "the letter" when they chased me down and gave me the judicial hearing dates. As has been already mentioned, you WILL be regarded like Public Enemy No 1, even and especially by your very best friends. Some family as my parents did MAY view "blood as thicker than water" and continue to have a relationship with you. But don't count on it unless you know for sure that they will.

  As for regrets I have none. I regret that I lost those friends, even though they were only so close when you consider that they could shun me over the word of an organization. But that was inevitable, even if I had only faded.

  Absolutely, particularly if they married became he came in. A prominent case of that is Emmanuel Zerbides in London, famous organizer of Meander Tours which takes JW's through the British Museum. Even if he married after he became a Witness he might after after a long time be appointed going by the rule that even someone who has sinned "grossly" after three to five years can get the whole thing expunged.

  well - i had been wanting to do this for a long time , to question a legal department representative at bethel about the child abuse settlements and jw child abuse, since last year when the news came out about it.

  especially since my dad , an elder for years was never aware of it and has on his own taken steps to see that families with children are informed if a former pedophile is in their congregation.

  i was curious as to what the current views and policies in place are .

  New light on Noah?

  i was watching a special on the atacama desert in south america and they were showing huge sections of the desert that were bands of gypsum rock.

  it breaks down almost immediately with just the tiniest bit of water.

  they estimate it's age at 140 million years... so no water for at least a few million years!.

  The GB has so much riding on Noah. He was a "preacher of righteousness", so dubs should be. Jesus mentioned that the last days would be like the days of Noah. No Noah, then what about their end times cultish prophecies. They are probably married to the flood story, no matter how stupid it may be.
