Superman, this is SOP. Some CO's look the other way because they know how dangerous it is to be giving personal advice like this. Oh you won't find this explicitly in writing but it is the way things are supposed to be run as dictated by KM extension classes and meetings that the CO has with the elder body. Anyone who has an adult child who is not progressively moving towards baptism is to disqualified from "special privilieges" as it sets a "bad example" for the congregation. And yes it's stupid, and dangerous. And yet as mentioned it often works in our favor as the kids often simply move out and leave the cult.

I hate the CO
by superman inso i was talking to my mother the other day, and she was distressed because she was saying that if my little sister isn't baptized or working toward it by the time she's 18 (which is coming up soon) she may have to move out (more then likely she'll move in with me and my girlfriend, or my older sister if that happens).
my little sister is a great kid (high honor roll, no trouble, hard worker, etc), that many parents would be grateful to have.
i asked my mom, why would they take parenting advice from a guy who doesn't (and hasn't) ever had kids?

WT makes such a mockery of our legal system. They cancel out the checks and balances that are normally built in by such a blatant act as having true believing attorneys advise a sick child. As if they would really give the true pros and cons. They further abuse the system because they know that many judges and persons tasked with enforcing the law will not fully understand the dynamics of a controlling cult and can therefore make assumptions that do not apply in the situation in question, thus letting the mealy mouthed WT representatives get away with murder.

Forget all of the stages: Denial, Anger, Sadness - Don't you sometimes just feel STUPID for having believed in the Organization?
by BonaFide ini know i have been through all those stages, i denied it, then i got angry, definitely sad.
months and months of this, and i still am in for my family and friends.. but sometimes i just feel stupid.
why did i ignore basic common sense for so long?

Sometimes I do. But being raised in it dampens a lot of that feeling for me. After all it's a good thing to obey one's parents, be cooperative, etc. I recognized the stupidity of this cult in my adult years and left before I was even forty. Now if I'd stayed in another ten, fifteen, maybe twenty years, oh Yes stupid I would feel having realized it and done nothing. That being said, that's me. Many have to stay because of familial circumstances and you folks should be admired for enduring the stupidity of the cult.

Jehovah Chose the Jehovah's Witnesses by Giving Them a Load of Coal!
by VM44 inin the1975 yearbook of jehovah's witnesses on page 121, it says:upon brother rutherfords return to the societys pittsburgh offices, he instructed the societys vice-president, c. a. wise, to go to brooklyn and see about reopening bethel and renting premises where the society could begin printing operations.
the conversation went like this:.
"go and see whether it is the lords will for us to return back to brooklyn.".

Well I got my convention notebook! (Thanks OTWO) Shame I'll never get to use it. I noticed Mario Beltrami on that video. He used to be a traveling overseer in the NY Metro area about twenty years ago.

Oh duh... I heard the original one. I like the new one better. Though like slimboy I like the original soundtrack better in some ways, just the propaganda sucks. The new one is much more realistic and honest. That's what FS is usually like.

Yeah but it still sounds like JW propaganda. That infamous last door doesn't appear all that often. And when it does, now one more victim falls to a cult. Not a pretty sight if you ask me.

2009 Drama Synopsis and Comments
by jabberwock inthis year's drama was based on the parable of the prodigal son.
the theme was "your brother was dead and came to life".
as some have probably heard, it is a modern day story based on that parable, so there are no fancy costumes or fake beards.. .

This drama definitely sounds like the typical propaganda WT feeds it's members to keep the "world" demonized in their minds. And at the same time allowing the WT to look like a loving organization when it doesn't disfellowship someone.
