They were my family who experienced my rage. They are mere humans who I hurt by my actions.
I hurt our family reputation. My brother in law is the P.O. of the hall.
This family does not represent for me Jehovah God or Jesus. At times they all have reflected Gods'glory by their actions and kindnesses to others.
I do not hold their resentment for me against Jehovah.
Dont you see?
I forgive them as Jehovah has forgiven me.
My sins are far worse than their looking crosseyed at me!
But I could not go back to that same hall.
This new town offers a new start for me.
I have invested alot of time in the studying of the Bible.
I cannot accept that Jesus was God or part of a trinity.
I do not believe in hell fire.
I do not believe the earth will burn literally after a rapture.
I have listened to Catholics, Baptists, Bahais, Taoists, Buddhists
I like to talk about religion and spirituality, but the hope of the JW and the God portrayed in their literature and brought out in the scriptures is the one that does it for me.

Excuse me Kid-A, you must be Kid-ding!
I wasnt "Love-bombed" by the hall. One elder was helpful and compassionate. Thats all.
One of my fears as a disfellowshipped person is the extreme shunning and real hatred I saw in the eyes of my own family members at my old hall.
It was the error and weakness of others I let stand in the way of my return these last 4 years.
Moving to a new town where few know me helped alot.
I appreciated this brother's initial kindness. It is how I feel Jehovah feels about me now.
You know nothing about me Kid-A nor what I did to get kicked out.
I got jailed buddy.
I've done alot of introspection and visited other churches since then.
It is my decision to give the JWs another look, this time without an overzealous fanatical JW husband. -

Another thing to think about is that the message of the witnesses is very unpopular today more than ever.
Even witnesses themselves are tiring of waiting and leaving the org.
The religious world and the world in general would like to see the witnesses fall.
The whole world..............dislikes even the sound of Jehovah's name. -

I accepted invitations to other churches since my dfing. Purely educational.
But now I ask if their church teaches a fiery hell before I visit. I do not believe in hell fire and now refuse to attend a church where that is a base teaching. I will not go to a church where fear of hell fire is taught.
Buttlight, This last Sunday I went to the K.H.
I've been praying about this.
I miss Jehovah very much.
I realize now I was rebelling against my very strict husband and our WAY TOO INVOLVED THEOCRATIC LIFESTYLE.
Now that I am remarried to a nice man who doesnt mind if I go back, I have been praying to "see" a new way I could approach being a witness that wont drive me crazy.
I started reading the Bible again (actually encouraged by this board in the beliefs and doctrine section)
I read scriptures that seemed to be speaking right to me of love and compassion.
I prayed to Jehovah. A peace came over me and I knew the time was right to return.
I went with a request for reinstatement letter in my bookbag.
This is a new hall in a new town, so I asked to speak with the P.O.
The brother said "I am the P.O."
He was so kind and sweet! He wrote out his name and address and said welcome and you can call me anytime. I am here for you! Here is a song book and Watchtower.
I asked him if I was allowed to sing (since I wasnt in my old hall)
"Sure you can sing! SING YOUR HEART OUT! That is what we will be watching for, whether you are singing and looking up scriptures!"
Then I heard "Anewme!!!!!"
An old friend from when I was 19 recognized me and grabbed me and made me sit with her down in front.
Anyway, I had a wonderful time. I thank Jehovah for hearing my prayer for mercy and kindness.
By the way, the talk was the same old outline about the Bible being the best guide for our lives.
Nothing new.........but there was.
I was like watching an old movie I'd seen many times, but now I am concentrating on other aspects of the movie. My appreciation still found pleasure in many things at the KH.
I am going to overlook human frailty and error and concentrate on the face of the one who gives me life.

How can we know there is a God?
by defd inone way to determine whether there is a god is to apply this well-established principle: what is made requires a maker.
the more complicated the thing made, the more capable the maker must be.. for example, look around your home.
tables, chairs, desks, beds, pots, pans, plates, and other eating utensils all require a maker, as do walls, floors, and ceilings.

Reading portions of the Creation Book reminds me of the very first book I read that opened my eyes to the truth about a creator...."Did Man Get Here By Means of Evolution or Creation?" 1972
I forgot that is why I began to study after reading this book in one night!
Thankyou Dfd! The reasoning still is delicious dark chocolate to my soul! -

Where in the bible does it talk about Field Service or preaching work?
by Buck iniam confused about the requirement for field service time.
what are the scriptures that reference a preaching work that will carried out by ordinary people.
is there scriptural backing?

I think it is fairly clear that the Gospel message encourages evangelism. However the hourly requirements are hard to find in the scriptures.
"God loves a cheerful giver" 2 Cor. 9:7
"There is more happiness in giving than in receiving" Acts 20:35
"Let everything breathing praise Jah!" Psalm 150:6
"Praise Jah, you people!" Rev. 19:1
"Whatever you are doing, do it wholesouled as to Jehovah and not to men"
Our service and praise to God should come from the overflow of love from our hearts for him and not because it is a dictated hourly goal.
Rather, the true worshiper will shine and reflect Gods Glory in his or her everyday dealings with others and so become a beacon of light in this world.
"Accordingly,....clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion, kindness, lowliness of mind, milness, and long suffering, Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Evben as Jehovah freely forgave you, so do you also. But besides all these things, clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of union. ...Let the peace of the Cgrist control in your hearts.....And show yourselves thankful....and whatever it is that you do in word or in work, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, thanking God the Father through him." Col. 3:12-17
I was under the impression that publishers could be low hour pubs without retribution from the elders.
One could also be "inactive" still be considered a witness. -

Another Warning From God

reform your lives or be chastised.
from the comments i have read about god's supposed non-existence in this forum, it seems that we will only learn the hard way.

What do you beleive?
by Ragnar1211 insince it is pretty clear what all of you do not believe i am wondering what you do beleive?
1) who is the creator of the universe?
3) why do we grow old and die?
-

Dear Ragnar, you will find quite a variety of beliefs here. No one is out to tear down and hurt others.
This forum is a celebration of free speech.
You can express your thoughts without retribution here.
There are rules of conduct as you know.
But there are those who still believe the Bible here and those who do not and those who still respect the WBTS and those who hate it and wish it killed.
We are a wonderful mix and proud!

SHOULD I PIONEER OR COLLEGE?
by stillAwitness indo you think the wt has become more lenient or stricter over the year?.
i am 21 and i remember just 4 years ago going to college was looked at as something negative.
girls my age, we had plans to be ft pioneers and become secretaries.

I have never witnessed anyone who went to college leave the truth. In fact the 4 friends from my old hall to did go to college are all elders now and own their own homes and support wives and kids, in contrast to the rest of us who didnt think for ourselves or who had witness parents who said no to it.
Blondie suggested you get a goal in mind, that is good advise.
The truth is the truth is the truth. Going to college is not going to change a thing except the amount of money in your bank account and how your back and feet feel at the end of the day.
If you were my daughter, I'd be proud you were going to college to get a career.
But I would not want you to leave Jehovah.
Best wishes,
Anewme
