i gave birth to a beautiful baby boy about five months ago, and i've never been happier, but that has required a lot of sacrifice and hurt.

Welcome Ex-04! I am all ears toward your story. Sounds like you have been through so much at such a young age. But you sound so strong. That's good. Your boy needs a strong mom. Glad you are here sweetie. You will find friends and support here. Anewme

Explain monogamy to me
by joelbear in.
my preferred social construct would be a group of 5 to 10 men sharing space, chores, well everything.. if i were heterosexual i think i would prefer the same situation, 2 or 3 families living together and sharing all.. actually i believe this should be a worldwide goal, total community in every sense of the word.. i see no advantage served by social and sexual diads.. please explain it to me.

I was out of the org and wild when I met my present man. He is a viking child of the Norseman clans.
He is not a spiritual man. He saw me and wanted me. I am now his.
He says he would not share me with any man. Told me all men are beasts.
Told me also he is not interested in any other woman.
He works hard to keep me satsified and feel wanted and desired.
The way he behaves and the things he says....I believe him.
I dare not give this man any cause for jealousy!
Unlike my first husband, this man is not one to toy with.
It monogamy for me now for sure!
I am grateful for his strong feelings for me and his protectiveness of me.
He is tender and lenient in so many ways, but as for sexually, I may not go to others.
He put a huge gold celtic wedding ring on me (you can see it by satellite) and he wears the same.
I have a great physical thing going with this man. And I respect him very much.
(But I come here for spiritual discussion with you all. I do not share this stuff with him.
Arguing over old scriptures makes him crazy!)
At least I've got him to agree a wise, intelligent and caring being must have made my two beautiful...................

Possible way to caclulate Great Tribulation?
by sinis ini was reading through some of the "other" bible texts (apocraphyls (sp?
)) and came across an interesting verse regarding the fallen angels:enoch 10:11 .
and the lord said unto michael: 'go, bind semjaza and his associates who have united themselves with women so as to have defiled themselves 12 with them in all their uncleanness.

I am not a math person, but do your calculations mean the the tribulation may be quite far off in the distant future?
Knowing the time would really impact our thinking and faith without a doubt. -

Question for Defd
by gringojj in.
defd we were talking earlier and i didnt want to hijack the other post.
we were talking about how i believe it is unfair for god to murder his children even though it is his fault that they dont follow his wishes not because they dont want to but because he did not make his wishes clear.. you said that his wishes are clear, but the devil distorts them.. you promised me you would provide me with some examples.

Seems to me the scriptures are trying to say the kingdom is a government of some kind.

When I had mine out I was still a kid and living in my Irish Catholic home, which means, if any of you have read "Angela's Ashes", I got no attention or medicine when I got home. You just "toughed out" everything in those days in that family....everything, infections, pneumonia, ear aches. But thank God they took me to the dentist at all.

Disfellowshipped for being fat and not watching my cholesterol
by free2beme ini find the concept of taking select warnings of the medical and science world, to disfellowship members, and ignoring others ... all the more interesting as i think about it.
after all, heart desease is the biggest killer in the americas.
heart desease and heart related deaths are often linked to and not exclusive to; obesity, high cholesterol, fatty foods, not exercising, high stress, etc.. with this in mind, i dare someone to call an elder and report that they saw one of the local witnesses eating at mcdonalds, even though the doctor warned them it could kill them.

Years ago I met a witness sister who was reproved for being soooooooooo fat. She was put on restriction and not allowed to represent Jehovah in the formal door to door ministry.
Actually, I did not meet her. We were out in service next door to her house and she came out to chase a few of her kids around the yard. She was very heavy, but not morbidly so in my opinion. We did not stop to say hi to her because her house and household were in quarantine for head lice.
I've known witnesses in such deplorable condition. Someone just has to reach out to them from the congregation. Usually some kind soul does, if not several. But some conditions are so baffling to the average person, it leaves the sufferer in a lonely isolated position. -

i don't ordinarily do anything like this but you have me very worried.
urgency makes people suspect the worst sometimes, and i don't want my abiding by rules to cause you harm.
