I felt the same way for a long, long time. I was also raised in the truth and I think that makes a difference as well, since you have nothing else to compare to. I think spending time here on this board will help you alot, just to see there are alot of people who have been through the same thing. When you realize you are not alone, it makes things easier. You need to see what you personally believe instead of being around people who are telling you what you have to believe. It gets easier over time, once you get a chance to let yourself feel whatever is right for you.

confusion
by inarock&ahardplace ini am going through a difficult time with my feelings on things.
i have a really good friend that helps me with research she has done in regards to "is this the true religion", but has anyone else out there been so torn that even with evidence one way or another in front of you, you still feel empty when you think of not having the 'truth' in your life?
i have 3 children and was raised in the 'truth' so was my husband.

Mine is my voice also, but unlike Tijkmo it's not necessarily because it is a good voice. I sound like a little kid so it's easy to get sales callers off the phone. I usually say my moms not home if I don't want to deal with someone.

Why are they witnesses
by joelbear in.
1. their family dynamics require it.. 2. they are old and its too late to jump ship now.. 3. it allows them to think they are special.. 4. they are sheltered by a fake brotherhood community around them.. add more?

SwordOfJah, Im sorry if you're taking offense. I used to feel like you, but that was long before I joined this forum. Besides this is just a fun little exercise, I don't expect everyone to agree with what I think. But then that is what makes people different!

Are You Happy With Your Life???
by minimus inbasically, are you happily single, married, divorced, separated?
do you wish that your life could be happier?
do you believe that life sucks and then you die, anyway?

I'm pretty happy most of the time. I have always been sort of a misery girl, so I guess you could say my happiness often gets in the way of my life. Or the other way around i dont really care.

Allow myself to introduce....myself
by pele38 ini must say, i never thought that i would see the day when i would find a site about disillusioned (mostly) jehovah's witnesses, but low and behold...one truly exists.
first let me start off by saying thank you to the creators of this site, and i'll have you know that i've been lurking for several days now and i am just finding the time to finally log on.
i've been a member of the borg for over 20 years now, been baptised for about 14 of those years and now i find myself in the most unusual of places.
