I haven't got this site stored in bookmarks/favourites. I always go to my homepage of Google and type in 'JWD'. Inevitably this forum comes up in the top 5 positions. Sometimes it's 4th, today it was 2nd.

However, if I type in 'Jehovah's Witness' or 'Jehovah's Witnesses' I can't see JWD/JWN on any of the first 4 pages at least. I gave up then.

Are there ways this positioning can be increased simply by the search terms we enter in the search box?

i.e. if more of us firstly typed in 'Jehovah's Witness' and took the time to eventually find it via Google's results would this then push the site up the rankings?

I would hope that 'newly interested ones' would find this site easier than having to type in 'jehovahs witness discussion forum'.

I hope I've explained this well enough.

Would you rather see the WTS move mainstream or just collapse in a heap?

maybe eventually the wts will adapt and change and try to go mainstream.. as 'new shite' shines brightly then;.

maybe eventually celebrating birthdays and even christmas will be 'allowed' without too many repercussions.. maybe eventually the 'blood' issue will fade away and 'brothers' wil be allowed the whole lot of fractions together at the same time.. maybe eventually disfellowshipping and particularly shunning will be seen as unloving and done away with.. personally i would rather this wouldn't happen.. i would prefer to see the wts collapse in the mire even with all the emotional fallout there would be to those still in having their crutches pulled away from them.. i don't want the wts to modify and adapt and go more gentle on the rank and file.. i want them to get more harsh with the brothers.. i want it to go down, not along.. am i being too cruel to those still in?.

would the more loving caring attitude be to hope that the wts changes for the better?.

I have to admire your calm and civil manner, including your wife's, in the face of overwhelming frustration in trying to get your points over.

To be fair, the two brothers who come to see you also appear to be keeping their calm too. How things pan out in your later meetings may be another thing.

Boxing

i seem to remember articles concerning jws not being allowed to watch or participate in boxing matches because of how violent they are.

i did a search yet can't seem to find anything.

anyone remember this?.

''Do not feed your mind on the disgusting wrestling and boxing matches that television offers!

Do you think that men will abuse their bodies in that fashion in God's new world?

Do you think that it was God's will at creation for man's body to be punched, jabbed, hooked, gouged and headlocked?

Of course not!''

There we have it from Jehovah's own mouth. (WT 15th June 1957 page 630.......''respond to the directions of the 'slave' as we would to the voice of God'')

if his message was to be followed like a rule book, wouldn't he have written down some things with his own hand?.

He, if he existed, very well may have. How would we know?

I agree that if the message was so important then a little bit more scientific proof of divinity that could be checked out by all future generations may have been in order rather than the accounts now acccepted as divinely inspired.

Assuming 6 billion people alive today multiplied by an average of 5 litres of blood per person equals about 30 million cubic metres of blood.

I read that the average discharge rate of the Nile today is about 300 million cubic litres a day.

If the Nile turned to blood (which it obviously must have as the Bible says so) then that is probably the most amount of blood in human history.

Big J couldn't have had much regard for the sanctity of it.

once again our lurking jw friend sent us a copy of the june 15th " witness only " watchtower.

all i can say is that the wt society sure knows how to compartmentalize and pick and choose how they view truth and honesty.

i'll share some of these " golden nuggets " and see what you think.
