this jw teaching that those who die at armageddon will not be resurrected but those who die before armageddon will be resurrected, always seemed unfair to me.. many have given up waiting for god to get his finger out and cleanse the earth of sinners like me.

they have concluded that the awe inspiring day of jehovah - armageddon no less - is a hoax.

dreamed up by john, high on something hallucinogenic and presented as a divine revelation.

I used to think the same thing. Die one minute before the Big A starts and hey presto! you wake up in the future. If it happened to me I would definitely believe, no problem, no doubt. I'll sign up for the 1000 years. And beyond.

However, die one minute after the start of the Big A and I'm sorry but you're buggered. You had your fair chance. The evidence was irrefutable and beyond doubt and you rejected my people. Now eff off.

Are there any interesting quotes to back up this or am I imagining it.

i think what the wt says speaks for its self.

I think this has been discussed before and I made the same comment. Read it in 1st person.

This would be the way a Governing Body member would be dictating it to his secretary/ note taker ready and prior to publication.

Paragraph 19 Among those "gifts in men" are US, who act in a representative way for the entire Christian congregation. (Acts 15:2,6) In fact, YOUR attitude toward US is a major factor that will determine how YOU will be judged during the coming great tribulation. (Matt. 25:34-40) Thus, one aspect of the way YOU gain a blessing is by giving YOUR loyal support to US.

i can't believe this is happening to me.

all the jokes i've made about me never "falling out of the truth" and self confidence about my spirituality.

Just wanted to express my respect for someone in their 60's or 70's who has spent their whole life immersed in the Watchtower to then have the HONESTY to admit and accept they were in bull shit the whole time.

Very true. I remember being so bored at the Watchtower study that I would very often go into the 2nd school room where the library was situated. I started reading the older publications and light bulbs were flashing up in my head.

I wanted to shout out ''forget studying the latest Watchtower's, read these books!''

I too wish I had read them earlier in my indoctrination.

why are jehovah's witnesses as a whole not permitted to read the elder's manual?.

on the first day of the unfermented cakes, well before his arrest and sacrificial death, jesus christ instructed his disciples on how to prepare for the passover.

when he did so, he did not provide advance, detailed instructions for all of his disciples; instead, he dispatched only two of them to find a suitable location, which he evidently had already planned with the householder.
