ExBetheliteNowPIMA formerly Llubrevlis formerly InDoubtBigTime,
But you still don't 'think' there's enough evidence to convince you that man has landed on the moon either do you?
Oh dear.
the situation is many of us are pima and all putting on a front, sometimes saying something we don’t fully believe.
or at least are actually agnostic about but a hope that it’s true.. but it can be useful if someone is really going through a hard time or has something they are very worried about, to say things like well let’s hope there is not much longer of this old system.. this can be useful in an awkward situation where you just don’t know what to do or say.
it’s a little bit of hope that can help when there is nothing else.. my agnosticism just means i won’t look back over decades thinking i wasted my life.

all elders just got letters about this new blood card system .
“language-coordinating congregations will receive separate parcel(s) containing the revised durable power of attorney for health care (dpa-e) for all congregation(s) in their literature group.“.
my questions are - why the revision and what has been revised?.
'' no transfusions..... be given me under any circumstances, even if health-care providers believe that such are necessary to preserve my life.'' ( What the fuck would they know about it?)
And why not ? Because the Governing Body say so, and all my other Physically Ins have to appear to do the same too. Lovely jubbly.
this is long so i'll just post a link, i think many here will agree with a lot of what the author has to say.
it certainly resonated with my thinking of the last few years.

''the woke nutters are currently mutilating children''
Is that the hundreds of millions of followers of Islam and Jews, with their centuries old tradition of circumcision? Some people think so.
hi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..
ExBethelitenowPIMA / LLubrevlis / InDoubtBigTime,
Do you think that your continued outward appearance of actually being Physically In and Mentally In ( after all, isn't that what continued Physically In is implying), may have an influence on others, particularly on younger impressionable people who have only known the religion of their parents and others they may look up to as being 'In the Truth' , to not have a blood transfusion in a life and death situation?
Or do you think your continued pretending to be a true believer has no influence on others who may look up to you?
I ask as one who was Physically In and Definitely Mentally Out for years. When the blood issue finally hit home directly to my family I believed I was very much part of the problem. I realize others don't feel the same. I don't understand why they don't.
cofty could you answer how the single cell came about by chance?.
i know the argument for complexity in nature says natural selection over billions of years but this could not explain the complexity of the single cell the building blocks of life?.
Cofty,
Are you wasting your time?
In regards to ExBethelitenowPIMA, previously known as Llubrevlis, previously known as InDoubtBigTime , he of the moon landings conspiracy, then yes of course you are.
But to the those on the forum who aren't still walking whilst dragging their knuckles on the ground, then definitely you are not.

I'm surprised it took you so long to work out.
i do wonder about the universe as we know it .
it does boggle my mind ,and how such a variety of life does exist on this planet ,from the microscopic to the most advanced life forms.. in such an abundance .?.
and then looking out there in the universe the multitudes of stars like our sun and planets exist that we have no knowledge of boggles my mind .. so ,maybe i am spiritual in some sense..
I agree with both of your comments.
i wonder how many are like me staying pimo for the great association and gathering etc.
also find it very interesting having a front row seat watching the collapse of borg.. im not wasting any more time or money on anything i don’t want to do like preaching and mostly just go on zoom .
there is nothing i want to do that would be considered disfellowshiping sin, i’m married and want to live by bible principles but i have serious doubts that the gb were chosen by god and are his one and only spokesmen on earth.
''OK. I'm not indulging in this silliness anymore. I'm beginning to suspect some trolling here. It's getting very irrational and quite frankly, pointless.''
I'm very surprised it took you so long to realize that.
it's difficult to comprehend how arrogant the members of the governing body must be to sanction much of the content that appears in their literature.
they identify themselves as the 'faithful and discreet slave' - that alone requires an astonishing degree of pride.
but what is even more amazing - arguably to the level of insanity - is the way they then use that phrase to elevate themselves above the rest of the organisation.
Watchtower 1957, 15th June page 370 paragraph 7,
''It is vital that we appreciate this fact and respond to the directions of the “slave” as we would to the voice of God, because it is His provision.''

''Who controls the organization, who directs it? Who is at the head? A man? A group of men? A clergy class? A pope? A hierarchy? A council? No, none of these.''
We do.
I do.
