Emotional Baggage.............

wifey and i left the dubland fantasy two years back, after a lifetime of that religion.

we know we have made the right choice.. i thought i was over all the 'stages' of this exit.

this past week i have been feeling great anger over the loss of my 'friends', and the great injustice of the 'shunning' policies.

I don't think the people are pricks. In their minds they are doing the only thing that they can to get you back and still have God's approval. Take yourselves out of pocket for a moment. I say this being the victim of being shunned by my granmother who is my greatest ally and oldest friend. She raised me. She taught me to think critically. She taught me how to reason at the doors and how to see the human side of the preaching work.

I am not blind to the pain that witnesses can cause. I simply believe that your anger is misplaced and does not take into consideration the situation of your loved one. Your words bring you down to their level except that their defense lies in wanting to save your life from their perspective. Yours lies in anger arising from a narrow viewpoint.

He's a prick! Be glad to be rid of him.

Gary! Be nice man. We all grieve in our own way. Writing people off doesn't work for all of us. Who knows how deep the emotional bond is between Jeff and his cousin. To judge with our own eyes is wrong my man. Isn't one of the definitions of empathy anothers feelings in our body? Jeff is down. What does it do to day what you did to him. I doubt that he feels better now.

Strangely, the love ones lost in our lives visibly appear to shore themselves up when they see us. Theyrationalize their behavior that in all honesty goes against their own person. If it makes it any easier I'm sure your cousin truly feels the struggle within himself about you. Remember how we were trained to feel sorry for those "lost" to this system of things. Hard to do but remember the mindset and let that help you see him for what he was and perhaps may be to you in the future. One of the things that I learned from my best friend who is still an elder is never lose your hope. Sometimes its all we have. If you need to talk, feel free to PM me and I'll give you my number. We can talk on my dime.

Why God Cannot Have Used Evolution....

We talk about the evolution of the motor car - but that does not mean the process was or is without intelligence. In the case of the motor car, the intelligence is applied externally. In living things the intelligence is in the life force which dwells in all living things and works from within.

There is no end to advancement, adaptation or evolution of living things. The bible indicates that all major changes happen in an instant through the power of God. In reality change takes time, but time only exists in our minds which are not the true reality.

These two statements are not congruent. Evolution of the motor car is constantly an improvement on design and functionality. If Gods creation is as he said it was "good" or perfect what need is there for improvement? Secondarily if all major changes happen instantly, why don't we see evolution in the span of a generation if that is your theory? Why does it take centuries at times to see marked change?

i spent many many years peforming on the cello before becoming a witness at 18 and being encouraged to quit all my symphony associations etc which i obediently did.

i was a soloist once with a community symphony and it was a wonderful experience!

i have a recording of the concerto i performed.

they released a new one called a bongo. it has dual active pickups but the body sucks and its awkward to play. i would love to play some apocalyptica. have you heard of them?

oh SH!T That is my freaking dream amp. that is my 1st christmas present to myself this year. I'm gonna buy a mesa boogie head and 4x10, a ricky 4003, an ernie ball music man stingray and a giz rag because im gonna need it

i was watching the history channel this weekend and they had a show on the global flood story.

it was pretty interesting, mostly the same old stuff and some commentators from different religions.

while i was watching this, two thoughts kept coming to mind:.

Good post. Either the design of the Creators plan is false or the Creator is false. Would this plan not be forestalling the inevitable? That being a return to the very conditions that provoked the destruction in the first place? More and more I am leaning toward athiesim. More and more...

Mp3 shrinking software, do you use any? Recommendations?

i'm getting more into my mp3 player, building up a collection of music.

i like to have tons of songs, but i'm cheap as all git out so i don't want to buy a new player.

do a google search for dbPowerAmp. You can use this to convert to wav or compress further with mp3. just play around with it and make sure that wherever you output is a different directory or folder than your original file.
