Obedience is tops in our home. Our children are still young, 6-1/2 years, 5 years, 3-1/2 years, and 18 months, and i will be the first to admit it's out to the parked car plain and simple if there's any acting up what so ever while attending the service. Normally the two older children are good, but the two younger ones can be a real challenge. They are "punished" for unruly behavior by way of spanking, usually through their pair of thickly padded diapers, (cloth diapers and rubber pants) which for the most part, simply sends a message to them to "stop" what they are doing. We find that rewards issued after a well behaved Church service provides our children with the insentive to try harder the next time.

Being a JW mother, I really don't understand how these women do it.
by Dragonlady76 inwhile reading through some threads, i sometimes wonder what my life would have been like if i had stayed a jw and had kids.
i now have a 23 month old son, that's very active, i can not begin to imagine what torture it would be for both of us to attend meetings or go out in field service.
i would be expected to keep him still the whole time without toys, snacks, books or any sort of distraction at all, except maybe the my book of bible stories.
