Thanks Lola and misanthropic,
yes, you are right, I must be patient.
I have done alot of damage to my reputation..(DUH!!!)
Things take time.
I am trying hard to find wisdom and do the right thing in stressful situations.
(Havent always done so. I guess you gathered that)
Guess I am growing up.
Did I tell you all that after I married I sent an email to my new husbands sister telling her how happy I was finally after years of tears.
I got a weird email back.....not from her...but from a colleague of hers at the university!
It appears my new sis-in-law was gossipping about me and sent along my happy email to her colleague who
mistakenly hit SEND back to me instead of sissy!
She said "Wow, what a load of crap! That's just the honeymoon high talking! Give her time. Hope she gets off the booze for your brother's sake!"
Welcome to the new family.
I did not reply either to the sister in law or her stupid friend.
I just made a note to myself to never share a personal matter with her again.
It came to me that, some people just are not happy that you are happy.
But again, it may be that people need more time to believe I am a changed person.
I have been praying to God for help to understand and keep my sobriety and calm.
It is not easy.
I wish I was the type who did not give a fig for what people think......unfortunately I do.
My husband counseled me last night to BE STRONG and IGNORE IT ALL!
WHO CARES WHAT PEOPLE THINK? WE HAVE EACH OTHER THATS ALL THAT MATTERS!
yeah.
thanks my JWD sisters for the love and hugs and for reading this.

Just got an email from my fleshly athesist brother. He might as well have punched me in the stomach.
He informed me the family does not want me to send any Christmas gifts this year, that anything they want they can buy for themselves. Just a card would be appreciated, if I must.
Ouch baby, very ouch!
For all of their life as a family I was a Witness and never sent them even a greeting for Christmas.
Being dfd, last year I sent them a box of individually wrapped gifts for each member including the dog.
I had so much fun wrapping and bowing and writing notes on each....
I guess I forgot the kids are now 19, 17 and 15.
And the wife is an MD and they are fairly wealthy.
I also try to forget that I spent the last 4 years in a drunken stupor and did and said things my MD sister in law doesnt forget.
Has this happened to you? You leave your witness family who now think you're garbage only to find your worldly family thinks you're low scum too?
I may be over-reacting to his email. I know my sister in law is real careful about her house and taking on needless junk. I can appreciate that. And their kids, I really hardly know them. I cant know what they like. I may have sent all the wrong things last year.
I may just send the family a large can of chocolate rocha.
What's wrong with that? Who would hate that?
.......slowly trying to understand life.......

I am such a Boob!
by Sparkplug into fill you in, i have to say that things have been a bit crazy here and i have felt overwhelmed.
in order to ease the stress, i concidered giving up my post as an officer of the charity organization i am in.... (not drop charity work) just drop some stress, because i feel the pressure of knowing that if i mess up on the books, we all could loose our job.
this makes me nervous because i am prone to dyslexic behavior.

Sparkplug, what you did was nothing compared to what some of us have done. My God. I'm sure everything will be alright.

Wow! Legolas, your home is sooooo lovely! And there is alot of light! I love the use of color and faux paints. I just got back from the library and got two how to videos on the use of color and faux tricks for the walls. The landlord said it would be ok to paint. So, wow, I have the ok to make some changes.
Jgnat, thanks for the advice. You are always good for that.
You are right. The Pioneer women had to suffer their little cabins and be happy with what they had.
I read briefly about them. Theirs was a tough life. One must focus on the blessings of life and not what one does not have thats for sure. Country life was hard but beautiful and healthy at the same time.
Billy goat, how fun you work for an interior designer. You must be learning so much!
Granny smith apple display-----got it!
I like the idea of separating items that are dear and items that are ho-hum. Good way to get rid of unwanted clutter.
Legolas'home looks good because she doesnt have it all junked up with clutter
It looks like a magazine home!
Thankyou all for the responses. I used to be such a yard saler. I havent been to a yard sale in 4 years!
I sale now on craigslist.org and recently went out to look at a dining table.......but it was ewwwwww!
I thought I'd calmed down living here, but I got bit something awful by the decor bug after visiting the malls last week. This evening I feel better after sharing with you all.
You know how I made myself feel better about my crammed little cabin last night? I burned a pumpkin pie candle! Think I'll light my candle again this evening.
Even a shack feels cozy when it smells like pumpkin pie!
Have a nice evening gals!
And thanks!

Hello, I'm Aaron, and this is my story...
by MetricRX indear reader,
my name is aaron, and i have a brief story to tell regarding my youth as a jehovah's witnesses.
my story is all too familiar for many who had the misfortune to find themselves unwilling participants in the religious activities of this group, but i would like to share my experience.

Anyone want to talk about home decorating????
I have been in this tiny cabin now for 4 years since my dfing and I am starved for space and the ability to decorate. While a JW I was in a 3 bedroom home. When I left, I moved with most of my beloved furniture to a cottage, then I moved in with my bf into his 2bd duplex, then we moved here to the mountain knome's cabin.
We moved here for my emotional health, you know how nature can heal a broken spirit.
I sold about a third of my possessions just to get in the little door here.
Its crazy. I still get my decorating magazines delivered to the cabin!
Country Home and Traditional Home
But up here there are no malls, no estate sales, and I have no space to do anything with.
Literally, you walk in the door, turn left is the living room, turn right is the kitchen, walk twelve steps is the bedroom and then turn left to the bathroom.
Along the walls I have armoires lined up touching each other. I have had to put hutches in front of windows. Couches and wing chairs, dining table and chairs, buffet, big mahogany desk and chair and mansion mirror, dressers and more armoires and a huge 4 poster bed. There is a little path through the middle.
I look like I am living in an antique shop!
When the few visitors do come and are invited to sit at the couch, we must practically touch knees because the opposing chairs are so close!
I am just waiting......waiting for the day when some inspiration comes to me....to either get rid of some of this stuff or move again.
I dream of course of vaulted ceilings and old stone walls and expanses of hardwoods and thick oriental carpets and big windows looking out over the verdant plains......
of green spacious lawns and borders of roses and red geraniums and ........visual perfection!
Do you go through these re-decorating phases?
What is the ANTIDOTE????
Perhaps it was the shopping I did last weekend in the nearby town. They are all getting ready for Christmas and the shops are looking absolutely YUMMY!!!
I come home to the "scary cabin"!
I look like Miss Mouse with a huge shopping problem!
I wish I was one of the new IKEA kids. They have a light and airy way of decorating.
What is your decor like? -

Oh I know that is all crap. There is no Biblical precedence except where the occultists burned all their books and sorcery stuff in the book of Acts. And they burned them probably because the items were instructional books and paraphenalia and to give them away or sell them would have promoted the pagan religions. But it doesnt say they burned their beds and other possessions in their homes.
Oh well, I missed out on that brass bed.
(Chuckle) I've had 4 beds since then!
I am now resting comfortably on a huge hardwood 4 poster..... more solid for my new marital needs.
