  Will the WTBS ever relax the current clothing/dress/grooming standards?

  as numbers and meeting attendance statistics continue to decrease in western lands, do you think the wtbs may someday relax it's current clothing and grooming policies to facilitate better attendance and make the meetings more comfortable?

  Going to Church for the First Time Alone

  i usually go with my boyfriend to his church, but i felt the need to explore this without him.

  so since i liked his church (church of christ) i decided to find one in my area to attend.

  i was a really nice experience.

  I went to a Church of Christ church once. I was shocked because it was soooo like a JW meeting. After the sermon, I started a conversation with some of the members. I told them I used to be a JW and I was told, "we are very similar to JW's in our beliefs". We got on the topic of shunning. Guess what. They believe in shunning. I was told that it is rare that they go to those lengths, but it is bible based to shun.

  That was the last time I went there.

  But don't take my word for it. Always question...

  WHAT was the nicest compliment anybody ever paid you? What did they say?

  when i was about 16 i had a terrible crush on an older lady (she might have been 30) who was the lovliest person ever.

  she had poise, confidence, intelligence, wit, appreciation and culture.

  i was just a skinny, shy, geeky kid that she took under her wing.

  Family tragedy.........HappyDad

  got a phone call from my daughter who lives in florida a couple of hours ago.

  her significant other who i chose to call my son-in-law (because he is the best thing to ever happen to her) got a phone call that his 6 year old daughter was killed in an auto accident near lake placid, florida and his 5 year old son is in very critical condition.

  the ex wife is also critical.

  What Would You Risk Your Life Over?

  i see people doing stupid things that involve risking their life for jobs that don't even pay that much or some other sillines, like not giving up a car to an armed robber.. relate incidents where this has happened and name some things that you'd risk life and limb over.. m'.

  I haven't come across a situation that would warrent it and hopefully I never do. However, if my children were in any kind of danger, I would do whatever I had to to ensure their safety.

  Yeah, I've smoked one as well. My husband tasked me with acquiring a hookah before he came home for R&R. I searched on Ebay for them. I actually found a really nice one. It was way reasonably priced (19.95 + 10.00 shipping) It is authentic (from Egypt) and works very well. It is very pretty as well.
