Thanks for putting my mind at ease. We have had THE TALK several times so I feel comfortable that she knows what to and not to do. Rebel8, I like the Happy Days reference, I'll have to integrate that into the next TALK.

a little girl!
all is well and we are trying to get some sleep.
you guess how well that going based upon the time of this post .
Oh, babies are so sweet. Congratulations.
Here is some unasked for mommy advise, sleep when she sleeps. Oh, having a 12 year old big sister to watch her while you sleep helps too.
As a tribute to daddy, the kids want to make this pumpkin...
raise your hand?
put on the spot and didnt know the answer?
or just werent paying attention?
My dad was the conductor and threatened to call on us (my sister and I) even if we didn't raise our hands. I said, "Go ahead, I still won't say anything." He knew better than to ever try it.

i remember at the hall, there was a speech where the brother said that 90% of movies weren't for christians.
the way he talked, about 90% of movies had sex in it or violence or anything that christians shouldn't watch.. funny thing is that every time i was invited to watch a movie with the jw's, there was plenty of violence in the movie they chose, and it didn't seem to bother them whatsovever.. gee, i rented lots of movies with sex and violence, and it didn't bother me at all.
Margie that article was awesome!!! I too enjoy a good porn, the more vulgarity the better!!
elders were supposed to set the lead so that the rank and file would follow suit.
i generally read the watchtower thoroughly but seldom did i read the awake.
were you faithful readers of those rags?
I was just the opposite. I would occasionally read the Awake. The only time I opened a Watchtower was at the Sunday study.
this morning it was all over cnn about how the us intercepted a letter from al-zawahiri (al-qaida's #2) addressed to al-zarqawi (al-qaida in iraq).. in this letter he said:funds are drying up, and actually asked the al-qaida members in iraq to send money.
al-qaida has lost many of its key leaders.he is resigned to defeat in afghanistan.complained that the al-qaida activity in iraq that is killing iraqi civilians will likely alienate the "muslim masses".. basically the letter talked about how bad things are for al-qaida.. i went to the aljazeera web site to see their spin on it.
what i found was nothing.
Unfortunatey I have to agree with tfsm on this. In my opinion, CNN is not the most unbiased news source. They rank right up there with FOX.
From what I have heard, the terrorists in Iraq are not slowing down and new ones are created daily.

Thanks for the feedback.
Purza that is exactly how I feel. I want her to experience a "normal" childhood, but being raised as a JW, I don't really know what that is. Trying to find a good balance is what it is all about.
HL, I saw the pics you took of your daughter when you originally posted them. I remember thinking "they look like they are having a blast, they will remember that night for the rest of their lives." I know my daughter is going to have those same kinds of memories.
Hopelessly, oh yes my daughter, son and I have regular conversations about boys/girls, sex, drugs and all that stuff us parents have to worry about.
Nicolaou, thank you that is really all a mother wants to hear
You must be doing something right.

You should have heard how exited she was when she called me at work to tell me the boy asked her to the dance. Even if I wanted to, I don't think I could have dashed her spirit telling her she couldn't go.
