Dear Thirdwitness aka GB agent/Jaracz' secret jihad against apostates,
This is fun keep it coming.

think about this: if seven times mean only 7 years then daniel could have simply said 7 years.
why does daniel specifically use the word 'times' rather than years?
as we have already shown daniel used the word for 7 times instead of 7 years.

i feel really angry and upset.
a good friend of mine is going through hell because they are being shunned by their children and grandchildren.
their sin?
Oldflame,
But I am afraid that when the next witness comes to me with their bullshit I will unload on them. People don't like me when I get angry because I can get mean as hell.
I hope you're not talking about the next Witness who knocks on your door because they most likely have nothing to do with the Watchtower dogma or regulations. If you are, though, please don't take out your anger on innocent people.

thirdwitness -- an agent of the governing body?
this evening i was talking with an old friend about recent postings on this forum by jw defenders.
we concluded that something unusual is going on.
The Watchtower likes to lob the derogatory term "apostate" toward those who disagree with them. The exJW equivalent to that term is "GB plant", it has the same purpose and result. To call someone a GB plant in the exJW world is tantamount to branding them with the mark of the devil. lol
The idea that most JWs are stupid is an exJW myth. This board and AlanF himself did more to create 3rd Witness and his friends than the GB could ever do. For every action there is reaction and the younger generation of JWs are reacting. Maybe its time the older exJW greats realized that fact just as the GB itself needs to see the same reality.

JWs do not baptize in vacuums. We of all people know how much is indoctrinated into a person before they get baptized. The Bible Study, the meeting attendance, the life style changes, the field service, the long list of questions to go through etc. The Watchtower does not hide its disfellowshipping and shunning policy nor what is expected. Loyalty to the Organization and its teachings are paramount. Everyone in the JW community knows this.
On what basis then do those of us who leave claim an injustice? I understood the shunning policy when I got baptized as a teenager. My children understood it. There were many Watchtower articles teaching the why and where of it.
I'm not saying I agree with it, BY NO MEANS! If anything we should shout it on the housetops to all who may come in contact with JWs and warn them about it. But the truth is most, if not all, of us were well aware of it before we baptized and probably at times even to some degree participated in it afterwards. Unfortunately though for many it does not hit home until it happens to them.
Freedom of religion is as important as freedom of the press....we should not tamper with it. imo.
Ted's arrogance outshines his bald head. Pity those who are forced to work with him.
it is little wonder that many ask, why does god allow such suffering?
comfort for those who suffer.
comfort for those who suffer.
Well Norm, I guess God would answer, "Shit happens. So sue me. "

I am sure they will survive without some Messianic figure in Denver to lead them to the promised land.
What?! Isn't this the Promised Land? And aren't Alan, Farkel, and company, our "present truth" Joshua's?
My god! another eye opening post!
Thanks HS!

or is it just the case that people make mistakes.
some little, some big.
if the punishment for 'sin' is old age & death then are the animals sinners?
Genesis chapter one said God declared his creative works "good", that does not necessarily mean perfect as man defines "perfect". imo.
It suited the intended purpose, God's purpose.
I'm glad you brought this topic up it's an interesting one.

The next time you think to criticize others, make sure you correctly understand their position prior to making a public attempt. Otherwise, you come off seeming foolish.
Excellent advice. It would have been great if you, AuldSoul, and AlanF would have followed your advice. Your suppositions suffer proof something Alan relentlessly insists upon when he calls others to task for their accusations, positions and opinions.
But now suddenly, innuendo and unproven allegations are just dandy because it's the exJWs doing it? To be sure there is more to this than meets the eye but it's not so much about 3rd Witness as it is about WHY this thread was even started in the first place.

watchtower camaraderie
after having spent years as one of jehovah's witnesses.
the next day?going back to the organization .
Can anyone, give me advice regarding getting my life
back to normal outside of the"Watchtower World."
First, I would suggest take it slow don't rush into anything. There is no "normal" Wanderer. What you thought was normal was the Watchtower's "normal." Out in the world there are a myriad of "normals", what we have to do is find our own normal. That takes time and it takes patience. Take it one day at a time and don't quickly trade the Watchtower's coat for someone's elses. Being alone for a time is hard but it also frees us. It gives us time to seek out ourselves and what we truly believe and want.
Second, just as we have learned to question the Watchtower we should also put to the test every other so called "authority" who claims to have the "truth" about something whether that truth is religious or anti-religious. JWs have not cornered the market on "followers of followers" that is a human trait that is alive and well among all mankind. Neither JWs, nor exJWs, nor politicians, nor the religious, nor the anti-religious, nor scientists etc. are immune from group think and herding. Try to find some balance and perspective, examine both sides of every issue.
Third, read, read, read, about anything and everything that interests you. Also search out a local group of people who are involved in something worthwhile in your community such as helping the poor or protecting the environment or anything you feel is important and positive. You might be surprised how easy it is to find friends among people who are working to do good in their community. Keep to positive pursuits in your life!
Fourth, it is said that when one loses a mate in death they should give themselves at least a year or more before making any life changing decisions, it's the same with leaving the JWs it too is a death of sorts. This is a time to grow, give yourself that time and don't add to your troubles by making wrong choices just to avoid the loneliness in your life.
Hoping all the best for you,
IW
