see, this explains everything - why men "never listen" to women :)
by zagor inhttp://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200508/s1431915.htm
men do have trouble hearing women: research
men who are accused of never listening by women now have an excuse - women's voices are more difficult for men to listen to than other men's.

Suppose your Dub wife needed a blood transfusion? [just suppose]
by BluesBrother ina hypothetical question... it is easy to make decisions for oneself, or for children who come under your jurisdiction, but suppose that your consent were to be requested for emergency treatment involving blood, to a person that is a diehard witness?.
i am talking of a person that has spent her entire life in the borg and believes that blood transfusions are a sure pathway to contract aids or something else nasty.
if she were conscious i am not convinced that she would accept even the treatments with blood fractions, that they do allow.

Candid - but i still am scared of blood transfusions. duno how to shake that one off.
Me, too!! I would try to avoid having one for as long as possible, because I'm scared of them. But I don't think they're WRONG anymore.....
If I figure out how to shake it, I'll let you know!!

If my JW husband were to need blood and is bound and determined to refuse it, I would respect his wishes. If one of our minor children needed blood and my husband were to oppose a transfusion for that child, I would authorize it anyway, regardless of his beliefs or wishes. GGG

96 - which is consistent with the females in my family. My grandmother is 91 and going strong, my great grandmother was 98 when she died. -

My Mom Requests They Don't Announce Her Name If She Is Sick--- On Platform
by minimus inmy mother's so disillusioned by the elders, circuit overseer and society for removing her as a pioneer for going to my daughter's wedding in which she married an "unbeliever", that she has told the elders not to even announce her name if they find out she's been sick or could use some welcomed calls.
nope!
she just wants them to stay away from her as long as is possible.

This is probably a blessing in disguise for her.... She just doesn't realize it yet. Let her talk and vent as much as she wants. Don't jump all over the JWs or the WTS yourself, though. Let her discover things herself and just validate what she's feeling. She needs to know you still love her, no matter what. I'm so happy for you, though!!
Hugs to you and your mom!
