concerned and worried about how they look in front of the congregation .

It's hard to recall just ONE time this happened. Actually my entire childhood was one of constantly maintaining appearances. We all know that within the JW mindset the most important thing is your stature before the congregation. It takes precedence over all else, even the emotional and mental needs of the individual family members.

By the way, nice pic in your avatar! You look like the quintessential JW, I used to look like that.

It must be "Global Warming"

this morning i had to scrape the ice off my windshield and back window.. on the way to work i saw many a frozen front lawn and most cars were covered with ice like mine.. all on the outskirts of los angeles.. it must be "global warming".. warlock.

To point to cooler than average temps in a normally warm area, and then criticize global warming betrays a true ignorance of what global warming actually does. It's on the level of Rush Limbaugh intelligence. Keep listening to Rush dude, I'll pay attention to what leading scientists are saying. (Unlike Mr. Limbaugh, they actually have college degrees).

My Wife Just Left Me Because of the Evil Watchtower

this is very difficult to write because i am crying.

i am normally not the kind of person you will ever see cry because things don't affect me that much but this has got to be the hardest things i have ever went through.. i just got through discussing with my wife my feelings.

i guess it has been hard to hid some of the things that i have felt since i have learned that many of the wt teachings are false.

I feel your pain more than you can know! When I came out to my wife she also packed up and left, but she eventually came back. We talked, shouted, cried and eventually she came around. Why? Because the evidence that the Watchtower is wrong is insurmountable!

Keep your chin up brother! Things will work out.

BTW, how long ago was this email? Yugoslavia hasn't existed for several years; it's Bosnia, Sebvia, Montenegro, Moldavia, etc.

Excellent point Blondie! The letter is two days old. Yet another example of the R and F swallowing every statement of the Governing Body with no investigation. I'm sure if I e-mailed her to point out her Societies geographical error she would accuse me of furthering some evil geo-political apostate conspiracy to make entire countries disappear.

Hope you two are doing well!

Exciting things are happening lately. Blank's bible study attended a
one-day special assembly in Denton where his fleshly sister was getting
baptized. A member of Bethel was visiting and said that the governing
body strongly feels that the end is very near. They are just waiting for
the prophecy in Revelation to be fulfilled where Jehovah will put it
into the hearts of the governments to turn on false religion. The
preaching work, at Matthew 24:14, is strongly felt to be nearing fulfillment
if not fulfilled already! That's where it says that the good news will
be preached everywhere before the end comes. There are only 3 places
where the good news has not reached because it can't reach there
(banned) - North Korea, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia.

Why can't I have a beard?

i've heard many times that there are some congo's in the us where you can have a neatly trimmed beard and it's perfectly ok. i have never been allowed and havn't known of anyone who could.

how about other countries?.

elders, why can't i have a beard and be able to be a ms?.

This is one of the many questions I used to ask my Dad, only to be answered with some bullshit excuse that amounted to traditions of men. One of the first things I did when I started to fade was grow a goatee. Man did it piss my family off.

I enjoyed the video SNG! Your feelings mirror many of my own. I spent years with a nagging, buzzing in the back of my mind. We can only lie to ourselves for so long before our brains force us to either face the facts, or go mad.

Ten minutes ago a couple of nicely dressed people knocked on my door and left a tract inviting me to their church, they were not JW's. I guess they are also the right religion?

i have to brag: little drummer boy just finished his college degree in computer administration with a 4.0 gpa!!!

i've lost track on how many letters go on his title after his name now.
