I am not going to say anything to any of my active JW freinds YET, not until the NEWS comes out, BUT WHEN IT DOES, I will be notifying quite a few across the US, and hopefully they will spread the news. Of course I will be completely distraught , about the terrible thing that has just come out, and will put my preaching skills to good use, I will be preaching the GOOD NEWS about the WTBS downfall, hopefully.

CoC--Mexico vs Malawi or other countries

i am in the middle of reading coc.

do you think that mexico jw's were spared by the governing body from rigid rules of not being involved in military issues/political party issues compared to other countries such as malawai, because the wts could make more money from people in mexico converting to jws as opposed to some other countries such as malawi?.

My husband is from a border town and he know first hand about the bribing, it was common knowledge among the brothers there , this story broke my heart, I just could not imagine how these supposed annointed brothers in bethel could be so cruel and unloving to their fellow man, that goes to show that the annointed CRAP is all BS, there are no damn annointed, maybe alot of schizo's who hear voices and see things, that's about it!

AAARRGGGHHHHH! After I cried for those poor brothers in Malawi, I began feeling so much anger for those Jerks in the Tower, I HOPE THAT BARBARA's NEWS HELPS EVERYONE SEE THEM FOR WHAT THEY ARE, A BUNCH OF COWERDLY OPPORTUNISTS!

I bet they never went to Malawi to comfort the brothers over there, I bet they've never been brave enough to stand up for their "Truth" in a country where it was banned! I'm talking about the GB members, they can say anything they want to the R & F from the safety of their freakin Tower, but I want to see them put their butt's in harms way, what don't they trust Jehovah to keep them safe? I Think they know, they would be rounded up and tortured with the rest of the brothers, that's why they have never done it!

CREEPY CREEPY STORY!!!!!!

i got so caught this morning with barb's thread that i forgot to tell you guys the story my sister told me last night.

she was telling all of us about a night last year when they (her and her 2 kids aged "4" and 8) were watching the news, anyway the news was on afghanistan and the older girl asked why the women were all covered up, so my sister started to explain in simple terms (because of the ages) that women were not treated good over there, so this is where the "4" year old pipes up and says ..'i know!

' so my sister asked her what she meant and the 4 year old said that there was bad men with guns following her in the house, (so at this point my sister just went with the story to see what she would say) so my sister asked what she did, if she got away...and my niece said she and another friend hid in the basement but the men found them and shot them

I'm an atheist, so why does some religious music move me so much?

i often find myself playing george harrison's 'my sweet lord' while i'm at my pc and i can't help but resonate with his genuine, heartfelt devotion, his appeal to christ or krishna.

the way he opens and pours out his heart to his 'lord' is inspiring.

a while back, i went to a catholic church to see two friends renew their wedding vows.

I agree religious music moves me also, even when I was a staunch JW anytime I heard "Amazing Grace" I would get goose bumps I love singing it also, I also love "My Sweet Lord" that's a beautiful song, I always sang to it anyway, and "Morning has Broken" by Cat Stevens when I hear that or sing it I am totally moved and inspired, yup Music is truly a wondrous thing!

VM44, these books seem very interesting, I will have to add to my collection, although at this point I already know the bible is alot of bunk, but more in depth studying helps when talking to others about these findings.

Another newbie

i just wanted to introduce myself, i have been lurking around for a while reading posts and identifying with so many of the experiences within them.

i have only stopped going to the meetings in the last year and it is only in the last couple of months that i have really started to research this "religion" that has been such a huge part of my life.

i dont live at home any more but am still in regular contact with my jw family and one or two friends.
