My story

i haven't ever posted or even talked to another ex-jw except for my uncle who i have just recently started a relationship with.
the sad thing is that i am 30 years old and i am still struggling with the past....i'm soo sick of it.

Terry that was BRILLIANT!!!! , their truth just doesn't hold up under scrutiny, does it? I agree that writing on this DB is more helpfull than writing a book because the active JW would never step foot in a religious book store or walk over to that section a Barnes & Noble lest they be singled out by someone who might see them! But here, all the lurkers can read this information and remain anonymous and they can do this in their homes, also they can compare their WTS books against what is said here and see that we aren't what the WTS portrays us to be ie "Evil Apostates, who do nothing but lie", no my freinds, they can see that if you are looking for actual truth you can find it here, where we have nothing to hide, no religion to protect, just unbiased facts and freedom to draw your own conclusions.

The Deity of Christ

The reason why these things appear to be contradicting is because they were. The inventors of the Christian religion knew that to make it credible they had to tie it in to the Jewish prophecies of the Messiah and this is what they did, finding pieces of texts in the old testament and showing that Jesus fulfilled these things, but all the while not looking at the context which once read, does not make sense, because as has been shown some of these texts were referring to Yaweh.
The WTS does a fine job of hiding these facts, but I firmly believe that they know the truth about these things, and this is the reason they barely give any credit to Jesus as other Christians do. As has been mentioned in this DB the WTS is more of a Jewish religion than a Christian one, no matter how they try to portray it. The truth is that the Old Testament and the New Testament is mostly BS, I have researched this matter thoroughly and am 100% convinced of this, I don't mean to offend the believers they are free to believe what they want.
To see reality, one has to put aside their preconcieved ideas and be willing to accept the truth no matter how painful and astonishing it may be, the reward is that you will be FREE from all the superstitions and beliefs that hold us humans back from reaching our full potential and the fear of some supernatural retribution if you don't actively worshipf some sort of deity which was invented by some priest thousands of years ago, if god wants worship he will appear to us just like it is said he appeard to those prophets long ago, and he will let us know, till then it's all hearsay.

i just wanted to say that this morning my father died of a heart attack while in field service.. i am on my way to new mexico with my daughter.
as some of you know i am df'd so you know how that goes when attending a jw funeral.

When my husband and I saw the cover of this mag we wondered like you guys, why are they all white? and why do they all have white hair and beards if white hair exists in humans only due to "imperfection" (sometimes it's due to a deficiency in nutrients) or normally due to human aging which would not have been a factor if according to JW belief...Adam and Eve would not have "Apostated"..soooooo why would Angels be portrayed with white hair? and where did the bible state what color their skin is supposed to be? If anything they should be tanned because that's how Jewish people in bible days were, not white. SORRY BETHEL WRITING DEPARTMENT...BUT YOU MESSED UP YET AGAIN!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Do you still see Doom and Gloom all around you like JW's do?
by JH inwe all know that the jw's think that the end is so close.. in a way, i'm still programmed that way.
i like reading news from all around the world, and you can find bad news all around the world.
example: bird flu, iran nuclear problem, terrorism, and so on.... i'm just wondering if other x witnesses here still are doom and gloom people, thinking that we are on the edge of some world catastrophy?

Not since I find out the truth about the "Truth" and religion in general. LIFE IS BEAUTIFULL and I am happier than I ever was as a brainwashed witness. I'm not saying that disasters won't affect us at all, we all have to deal with that if and when those things happen. But I no longer go through life seeing events around the world as a sign that "the end" is escalating, because I no longer believe in Armaggedon.
