i'd like to list some beliefs within judaism and christianity that bear a resemblance to older pagan beliefs.
the wts is deceptive when they selectively point out such parallels, but only with respect to beliefs they reject.. for example, the wts argues that the origin of the concept of the immortal soul is in egyptian and babylonian mythology, both of which espoused such a concept.
but they neglect to also point out that babylonians wrote flood accounts similar to the noah story before the writing of genesis, or that baptism was practiced in pagan religions before the birth of christ.
I was shocked when I found this stuff out , with the invention of the internet I think it's just a matter of time until the majority of people figure this out! I wanted to share the following info I found, it's quite interesting:

we all started off as happy witnesses, except for those dragged into this religion by force as kids.. in my case, i found that there were way too many meetings.
then seeing the new system being constantly pushed back, and finally when i saw a lack of true love in the congregation.
and when they hinted that probably there wouldn't be any sex and marriage for the resurrected ones.
Many here have pretty much summed it up:
The lack of love shown in the KH's
The cliques and little clubs that exist ie pioneers, elders wifes etc.
The constant do more, do more until you finally realize you DON'T really want to do MORE
The abuse of power by the Elders, CO's and MS's (their freinds and family can get away with anything)
The enormous amount of time spent on preparing for and attending those d**n, boring A*s Meetings
The necessary peddling placing and studying of material that is just meant to indoctrinate/brainwash and block any semblance of indepentant intelligent thinking by their members, which proves that the GB are malicious and know exactly what they are doing!

My husband and I were watching a show on this on the Discovery Channel I believe, it was about the phenomena of organs somehow transferring memories and characteristics of their owner. There were very interesting stories relating to this. Wow, there is so much we have yet to know about!

as i was sitting here this morning reading the various threads and posts, i couldn't help but think how the society monitors this board.
i also thought how this board has aided many "out" in clever types of ways that have saved many a lot of heartache by the good advise they recieve here by others who have learned the hard way.. the actions of ones who have exited of course trickles down to elders who have to deal with these tricky ass apostates who are influencing others.
the co's all hear about this and of course these reports go to the society.
GRRRRREAT!!! I've always enjoyed preparing food, especially for those that will gobble it all up!
