Do you support gay marriage?
by chappy inis your belief moral, social or practical?
would you feel the same way if there were absolutely no religious influence on the matter pro or con?.
regardless of your belief, does every adult have a fundimental right to marry anyone of his or her choosing, regardless of gender?.

I encourage you to read "Death of the West", the author knows what he is talking about.
[off topic]I have read and understand Buchanan's views, because I used to share them. But then I realized that Buchanan and isolationists like him want to limit personal freedom in a large number of ways. He hates free trade, he dislikes non-european immigration, and he's threatened by societal change. Not to mention how he would get into every American's bedroom to regulate what goes on, if he could.
I hate to admit it, but I shared these views when I was younger. However, we're all entitled to change, and I seriously considered what my underlying beliefs are. I asked myself if they were based on logic or emotion. Buchanan's views are based on fear and emotion. My views are based on the very logical case to be made by the theory of natural rights. Buchanan thinks natural rights only apply to white americans and europeans.[/off topic]

If gay marriage is the norm, and becomes popular, the birth rate will decline, because men cannot produce children and women need men (for the time being) to produce children.
Also, the secualrization of the West ;result in fewer children being born.
This confuses correlation and causation.
Gay marriage will not result in a lower birth rate. Legalized gay marriage will not turn anyone gay who is no already.
In addition, secularization isn't to blame for lower birth rates. Abortion, birth control, increased wealth, and changing attitudes about marriage are changing birth rate demographics. Japan has seen the same reduction of birth rates and they are essentially an atheist society, and always have been.

I'm sorry about your situation. I can't really offer any concrete advice, other than do what's best for the kids.

So if we accept the fact that airplanes fly and we use condoms in our lives, obviously we should never be grossed out by two guys sucking each other off or pounding each other in the ass? People who dont embrace the gay lifestyle as being the greatest thing since sliced bread are now as bad as racist KKK folks 30 years ago? I will accept it as natural when two same sex partners concieve. I refused to watch an email that was sent to me of a woman performing a sexual act with a horse. Does that make me close minded because that grosses me out. Does that make me as ignorant as a KKK member 30 years ago? You guys sound worse than the Watchtower pushing its agendas and thoughts as the only right way a person can believe!
Clearly you missed my point. I don't give a rat's ass if you think guys having sex is gross. I do give a rat's ass when you, and others, use the completely intellectually void argument that homosexuality is "unnatural" to justify social policy. You can be as closed-minded as you like, by all means, but don't try and use that closed-mindedness to use the government to tell me what I can and cannot do in my bedroom.
And, by the way, what exactly is the "gay lifestyle?" I get up in the morning, drive to work, eat lunch, go home, read the newspaper, then go to bed. Wow... that's quite the lifestyle.

What is the history of marriage? No one knows where it originated, but it is something that exists is all societies. Marriage existed pre-government, so when we talk about allowing gay marriage, we are talking about the government construct of marriage. Governments today license marriage, rather than just recognizing it. In Michigan, one must get a license from the state in order to get married. It should be the other way around. Marriage started (in the western tradition) as a religious ceremony. Other, non-christian, societies also recognize marriage, so it's not a strictly religious engagement. Therefore, government's place should be simply to recognize marriage, regardless of who it is. What right does government have to determine what is and is not acceptable in marriage? What legal or philosophical grounds can anyone rationally present against the right of two consenting adults, regardless of sex, from entering into a binding relationship?

I don't agree with homosexuality despite what the liberally minded modern society has to say. I don't hate or wish to belittle or harm homosexuals but I can not accept that their lifestyle is natural, and I am certainly not a closet homosexual.
Lol... you don't agree with it. What's to agree with? It's not like there's a question as to whether homosexuals exist.
Surgery is unnatural, so are contact lenses, so is flying in an airplane. Condoms are unnatural and so is the birth control pill. Hmm, what else. Using refined crude oil is unnatural too. Do you disagree with those too?

Moslem world outrage over cartoons of prophet
by Hellrider ina few months ago, a danish newspaper printed a set of cartoons about mohammad, the most important prophet of the moslem religion.
a few weeks ago, a small norwegian newspaper followed, and also printed the drawings.
moslems all over the moslem world are now rallying against both the newspapers and the danish and norwegian governments, which they hold responsible for this.
