  shining one just did a thread on an article that supposedly shows the bible was not fabricated.

  i didn't want to hijack his thread, so i started this one.. .

  i'm getting old, i guess, and maybe alzheimer's is starting in, but i have lost my vision, my understanding, my assurity if you will.

  Bacause He created you. That is why you owe God worship.

  However, if you believe that you evolved from the goo, through the zoo, to you, then why even bother ask the question?

  God seems rather insecure if he demands worship for the act of creating us.

  God creates humans with free will and then tells us that if we use that free will in a way that breaks his illogical and arbitrary rules, he will damn us. I simply don't get it. That's selfish and childish. Sounds like god has "little man syndrome," also known as "Napoleon syndrome."

  I purchased it and have tried getting through it, but it's one of those book that pre-supposes knowledge on the subject. I'm a bit lost because I haven't done any prior reading on the development of Judaism.

  is living a good life..... i'm not sure who said it, but is it ever so true.

  the jws think that once we leave the "protection" of the wts, we are doomed to wander through life aimlessly and without purpose.

  and, maybe i did that for a little while.. but, i have been on a mission to take my life back from those rotten sobs.

  i apologize if someone has already posted this.

  my mom just sent me this email showing how the illustrations from daniel's time show the rock getting closer.

  now, this would mean something if it just showed up that way, you know god's finger on the wall type thing.

  This comparison of the illustrations shows where we are in the stream of time and how close we really are to the start of the great tribulation. Our illustrations really do teach us!

  E-mail response from an old dub friend......

  okay, so i suppose i asked for this...but regardless i'm ready to puke!

  last week i e-mailed an old "dub" friend from another city.

  she's had some health issues and i hadn't heard from her for a few months, and wanted to know how she was doing....her brother also recently got married and i asked about that as well.

  Great movie. As a citizen of the "fly over country," I think it was a good depiction of how people can treat each other. The citizens of fly over country need a little more of that kind of thing.

  i have just read a book which is relatively new - the world is flat by thomas l. friedman.

  well worth a read.

  discusses religion in one chapter.

  Friedman's book is great. Also check out "Guns, Germs, and Steel" by Jared Diamond. It basically tracks the development of civilization around the world from about 13,000 years ago to today and he examines why certain cultures advanced beyond others. Very interesting read.

  Protect your Family from the Internet

  this was a sign that i saw out front of a church today.this was to be their sunday sermon or discussion.

  i would imagine the main thrust of their comments would be about porn and how to shield the "family" from it.. i could see the dub's starting a whole sunday talk about the same thing in the near future.they will of course tsk...tsk...tsk porn but will soon get on to what will really protect a "dub family" dammit...don't use google..don't type jehovah or witness into a search field.
