  ok, its happened again!

  but not to me this time, my 12 year old son.. last night he fell asleep on the couch, so i left him there and went to bed.

  he wolk up about 3 am, and walked upstairs to his bedroom.

  How do you know that for sure fd? I mean how do you know for sure that it is a fantasy? What if it is not a fantasy? What if is something else? What if it Did happen to you? How would that change your view of things?

  If it happened to me I would critically analyze what happened. I would think about the possible explanations - would it be more likely that I was still in a partial dream state, or that there are some sort of entities which enjoy just standing there in my bedroom and projecting images on my computer monitor. I would stand up and investigate and see if I could touch the Gorton's Fisherman standing in my closet. I would remind myself that it is very unlikely that what I'm seeing is rational.

  Then I would roll over and go back to sleep.

  There's a reason these sorts of experiences happen when people are 1/2 asleep or just waking up (think "alien abductions.") Our brains have a hard time sometimes distinguishing between what's real and what's a dream when we're in that in-between state.

  JWs and the movie "The Village"

  i was thinking, on my way to work this morning, that the movie the village is a lot like the jws.

  in the movie, several families live in a false 1800s village in the middle of the forest that only a few people knew was fake.

  in order to keep the villagers in line, they created a fake monster that would roam the woods at night and scare the crap out of people, so no one dared leave.

  I was thinking, on my way to work this morning, that the movie The Village is a lot like the JWs. In the movie, several families live in a false 1800s village in the middle of the forest that only a few people knew was fake. In order to keep the villagers in line, they created a fake monster that would roam the woods at night and scare the crap out of people, so no one dared leave.

  The JWs are a lot like this, from what I gather. Once you're part of the JW "village," you are warned that demons roam everywhere and evil apostates will pounce on your soul any chance they get. Once you've left the "village," it's as if you never existed.

  mom and i were discussing some recent books on the catholic church, and mom said that supposedly the catholic church was holding some major secrets on the bible and that if the catholic people were to ever find out, they would literally destroy the catholic church and there would be rioting in the streets.

  i told mom, "look at all of the children who have died from no blood, look at all of the people who forsook college education, look at all of the families destroyed, look at all of the children molested, look all of the lies of the wt society, and yet the wt society still flourishes, the catholic church would probably get through that too".

  she just told me that they would tear that church apart.

  hi my name is alex and i was born in the truth and...i'm still in it.......i'm 15 and openly gay well at least at schooland to all my friends some who are also jw's well the reason for posting this is i wanted to knw if there were any other gay people here......if anyone wants to email me its [email protected].

  i want like advice on how i should deal with this cause sometimes i feel this oppression(dont knw if i spelled that right) on being gay and also being a j.w theres this i'm not sure how to explain it....like you knw that when people in your congregation find out the ones you know all ur life are going to hate u cause ur gay............this i guess just makes me feel really sad........ kind of hoping that this made some sorta sence.................... i suck at spelling so if i miss spelled something sorry@_@

  Bro. Schroeder dies

  i just received this news from a bro who has connections in bethel.... .

  bro albert d schroeder died at 10:30 am new york time today at brooklyn bethel...he was 94 yrs old.. he was born on april 7, 1911 in saginaw, michigan and entered bethel service in 1932. he was appointed a member of the governing body on december 18, 1974. bro schroeder's life story appeared in the march 1, '88 wt pages 10-17: entitled: "my life in jehovah's spirit-directed organization.".

  i don't know if the "today" means it was actually today...as i can't be sure when my friend received this news... but anyway, another of the old guys bites the dust.. .
