  i can not remember anything in the bible, that said the book of revelations would be the end of god's word to man.

  at the same time, i know there are many parts to the accounts in the bible, that were not put in or are not accepted as inspired by god.

  with this in mind, what if your morning started like this;.

  What you did above is you did not see what the article was saying that is the entire article?

  What Abaddon did was quote a disclaimer which essentially invalidates the entire article. It's like a disclaimer at the end of all movies which says that the events depicted aren't real. But then what you're doing is saying "But you didn't watch the whole movie! It looks real!" Well, the disclaimer at the end invalidates everything, because it states that it's not real. You don't need to read the entire article, because one simple statement, which Abaddon quoted, says that the entire report cannot be trusted!

  I found an article, I suppose referencing the quote you are talking about. Here's your assertation:

  Now, tell me, how do you interpret that as George Bush saying... "what the US remote viewers had to say about Iraq"??

  Do you just come here and make things up? Not only is the quote about Afghanistan and not Iraq, I see absolutely no way any of that could be interpreted as a "slip of the tongue regarding remote viewing projects in operation."

  Or am I being one of those hyper-skeptical jerks for analyzing the statements you make?

  Why do you say they were wrong? Did we not find Saddam? Bush no doubt only listened to what he wanted to hear? He probabley did not taken in what they really said too him, but only what he wanted. One thing is for sure the report from the non-existing remote viewers we the public will never know what it really said.

  This topic about Bush' slip on the remote viewers has been threaded to death on this board many times in the last 5 years.

  Yes, Saddam was found. You didn't make any claim about using remote viewers to find Saddam. But of course, the report that no one can produce would prove it all, right? And there's an invisible purple dragon in my garage. I haven't seen any threads on George Bush and remote viewing, so I was genuinly asking for a source of his supposed "slip." I did some Google searching and couldn't find anything. What's so hard with producing a source for me? Or is Google part of the government conspiracy to cover up the invisible remote viewing report too?

  i think the saddest part of this whole situation is that rev.

  haggard is only going to perpetuate the hate and intolerance of homosexuality amongst the evangelicals he used to represent.

  I think the saddest part of this whole situation is that Rev. Haggard is only going to perpetuate the hate and intolerance of homosexuality amongst the evangelicals he used to represent. One important quote from him:

  "I am a deceiver and a liar. There’s a part of my life that is so repulsive and dark that I have been warring against it for all of my adult life."

  You see, he knows full well that he has repressed his homosexuality, but he simply had to act on it, probably because a lifetime of repression tears you up inside. He knows he's gay, and he acted on it because he realized it was what he needed to do. But now he calls it his "dark" and "repulsive" side of life. I'm sad for the likely tens of thousands of similarly repressed gay evangelicals who will look at this episode as another example of how they need to continue to repress themselves and remain internally miserable.

  Thankfully, there are public figures who are admitting their homosexuality and who are proud of it, and who are living their lives happily.

  just a quick question to the atheists on this board, i was just wondering if any of you have had any supernatural experiences?

  for example the same thing that we wouldve called demons as jws?

  if so has this changed your views on atheism?

  I'm an atheist and have never had a supernatural experience. I am very skeptical when anyone tells me they've had a supernatural experience. In fact, I've offered to stay at "haunted" houses before. People always seem to be scared of ghosts. Hell, If I saw one, I would walk up to it and poke at it. The idea just doesn't scare me. I sort of wish I would see a ghost, but alas, I've seen none.

  i'm hoping that someone can help me out a bit with a response to someone over at beliefnet.

  they gyst of the thing is this person keeps insisting that, according to some elders and active jw's they know, the wts does not nor has ever claimed that a person has to be associated with the org to be approved by god.

  this person claims the wts says that "christianity" is god's organization and that as long as a person conforms their life to the bible they don't have to be a jw to be approved by him.. they also say that the wts doesn't teach that all other religions are worshipping (giving honor) to satan.

  Isn't that interesting. If the WTS claims not to be god's channel, that "christianity" is, then why do JWs keep saying that they are the only true christians? Sounds like circular logic to me.

  A Message To All The Lurkers

  in recent weeks, i have seen several posters that some call the jw "lurkers," meaning the witnesses who read the articles of this site, and are perhaps questioning what the watchtower has been teaching them, yet are still very defensive of the watchtower's actions.

  as a result, i have seen and participated in several heated debates.

  it seems the main criticism of us is that we focus too much on the "negative," that we dig up the past too much, and worst of all, that we have nothing to really complain about, other than the personal vendettas some of us have against the watchtower.

  i've thought for a while that those who are most virulently anti-gay often times are themselves repressing their own homosexual feelings.

  the delicious irony in this one is that this guy is head of a 30,000,000 strong evangelical organization and he's been a vocal opponent of anything gay friendly.. .
