Elders coming over next week to discuss my questions
by Goldminer inthree months ago an elder came to our house to try to answer some of my questions.none were answered to my satisfaction and it was obvious some seemed difficult to him so he said he would do some more research and get back to me.well,last night at the meeting he told my wife that he and another elder would like to come over next week to continue our original conversation.. my wife told them that i didn't really want to be a jw anymore and they said they weren't giving up on me just yet.they also said they like me as a person and i really don't think they want to df me anytime soon as this would be too traumatic to my wife and might push her out of the religion for good.. my plan is to start with the first question and stick to it until it is answered to my satisfaction which i doubt it can be.it is the following:.
where does the bible say that god has an "organization" on earth and uses a governing body to direct it?.
i have some research ready to use but i'd like to ask you if you have any comments or information you'd like to share that i can use in some way.i appreciate all your help on this one and i'll keep you posted on how it goes next week.thank you very much.. goldminer

The "Trinity" doctrine blasphemes Jehovah and Jesus.
by booker-t inthis is the last time i will post or read about the "trinity" doctrine because in my mind jehovah and jesus has enlightened me to see the real source of the so-called holy trinity.
satan is the originator of this unbiblical doctrine.
after i left jw's i felt i had to accept the trinity doctrine in order to be "saved".

There is no trinity because there is no Jesus, Jehovah, nor Holy Spirit. I came to that conclusion after much thinking, reading, and more thinking.

the main jehovah's witnesses article on wikipedia has been pretty thoroughly filled with correct and embarassing wts doctrine.
we've been able to get the disfellowshipping and shunning section to stick, as well as mention of the "examination period" of 1914-1919, and general slaughter at armageddon.

The main Jehovah's Witnesses article on wikipedia has been pretty thoroughly filled with correct and embarassing WTS doctrine. We've been able to get the disfellowshipping and shunning section to stick, as well as mention of the "examination period" of 1914-1919, and general slaughter at Armageddon. Now, we need to move on to the New World Translation page:

Currently the NWT page is very much pro-WTS. We need to mix it up a bit, like the Faithful and Distcreet Slave section. A "criticism" section needs to be added, and the stauros section should be expanded with counter-arguments. I'm not much of a bible scholar, so I'm wondering if y'all out there could take a look at the NWT page and get the changes moving.
I'm hoping that maybe Auldsoul, leolaia, and jgnat, who i've noticed have a tremendous grasp on biblical translation/mistranslation, could help out.

2.62% attrition rate.
Does anyone have these monthly numbers going back a decade or so? I'd like to do a month to month comparison over that time period to create a trend line. Annual baptism numbers too.
