  i was surfing around the other day and came across a guy citing the existence of the guinea worm as a sign that god really doesnt care about us.. the guinea worm is a parasitic organism that is eaten by water fleas.. they in turn, are consumed by human beings from contaminated water.

  the stomach acids kill the water flea and the parasite is released into the human intestine.. the parasite grows and within a year it potrudes out of the skin so it can release eggs.

  (at this point it can get up to 3 feet in length).. the parasite is extremely difficult to remove and the only effective method is to wrap the potruding portions around a stick and pull it out an inch at a time for several weeks.

  i have a degree in english, but i thought it was too late, after so many years, to pursue my original career plans.

  in syria, protesters have now burned the norwegian and danish embassys to the ground.

  the latest news is that they are rioting in copenhagen, denmark, where 200 moslems have stormed the sentral station (the railwaystation), and throwing bricks and rocks.

  every line is so well crafted and the story, published in the new yorker magazine in 1997, is much more than two young men falling in love.

  one of the major themes of the movie is fear.

  can a cartoon trigger ww3?

  do not underestimate the latest furor over the 'hostile' mohammad cartoon published in european newspapers recently.. in case you've been out of contact, newspapers in denmark, norway, france and germany have published a cartoon of the prophet mohammad wearing a turban in the shape of a bomb with a burning fuse.

  the cartoon is offensive to muslims the world over since the prophet may not be displayed in public places, let alone caricaturized.

  Seriously though, WWI and WWII were wars between pretty well matched opponents. The western world fighting a war against the Islamic states of the world would be a joke.
