Question:
Show me, using the Bible only, that Jesus was invisibly enthroned in 1914.
here was thread which gave me this idea http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/108254/1.ashx .
is there some good "compilation" of good questions (not too much) to ask jw in bible studies with potential new jw to expose their "truth".
i know there are hundreds of questions, dozens of sites with different questions for jw, but i am thinking about specific questions to ask in presence of new student and their "teacher" to plant seeds of doubt in the student that there is something wrong with studies!

when i go to this one store, i usually stop into the laundromat next door to it about once a week and pull out all of the awakes and watchtowers.
there used to usually be about 3 or 4 per week.
now, it seems that they are putting more and more in there.
I'd keep throwing them away. If they leave more, then all the better. That's what we call "bleeding the beast."
.
all taken from the 2003 convention at the millenium stadium in cardiff.
the phrase "rattling about" comes to mind.
Forgive my ignorance, but WTF? What's with the gigantic stadium if only 10% of it is in use? What are they looking at? Is there a stage somewhere? Is that the totality of the crowd?
i'm too cheap to pay for cable.
there's really not a lot of stuff to choose from that's worth watching for the price.
free tv sucks the most, reality shows and other mindless garbage that keep making its way to market.
Good! TV is the great destroyer of the brain. I read once that you burn fewer calories watching TV than sitting and doing nothing!
can you believe that "historians" are trying to deny that such an event ever occured??
this guy was getting 300 letters a week because of his anti-jewish stand.
makes me sick!
hitler was not a good man,.... but he was a mother fuckin genius... i mean seriously, how do you get that many ppl to agree that the slaughter of ppl opposing him was a good idea??? the man was a mad genius...
I have to disagree. He was charismatic and he took advantage of the German anti-semitic sentiment which was already very deep in their society at the time. They thought they were betrayed by Jews in WWI. He took that and ran with it.
I'd say that he was perhaps a political genius who was benefitted by being at the right place at the right time. However, once he had the reigns of power, he bumbled just about the whole way. If you read Albert Speer's autobiography, it becomes clear that Hitler didn't know how to be a government leader. He didn't understand international relations - he had never even been out of the country. Militarily he was a disaster. He surrounded himself with buffoons.
I think Hitler was more of a product of converging historical events than someone who engineered his own fate.

Too bad, many European countries have decided what kind of speech is "acceptable." It's a slippery slope when bureaucrats and politicians decide what the politically correct form of speech is - and they have the power to decide who goes to jail for speaking out. I think holocaust denial is moronic, but they have the right, as human beings, to speak their minds. Europe really is still part of the old world.
Remember the old saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me." Apparently in Austria, names (words) do hurt.
what is all this carry on (controversy) about "brokeback mountain"?
my goodness, they are acting like 12-year-olds.
get a life - what is this the dark ages?.
LOL - good point. We haven't burned down any embassies over Brokeback yet.

I don't watch TV - most TV media is a joke. I get my news from the internet and newspapers and magazines.
Brokeback Mountain isn't as big a deal here as it is made out to be. People talk about it, but that's it. The media and the right wing nuts like to go nuts over it, but I don't much pay attention to them.
When I think UN, I don't think scandal, I think "useless."
As for guantanamo - I don't much care.
after reading for a few months this is my first post here.
i was raised a jehovah's witness by my parents who became jw's in the late '70s from field service.
i'm still a jw but doing a lot of researching on the history of the wts.
And they also believe that 1914 is a significant year because all historians agree so.
But why is it more significant than 1492, 1776, 1779, 1789, 1861, 1913, 1917, 1929, 1939, 1945, 1989, 1991, or even 2001? Serious events which had as much or more effect on history happened in those years. Why is 1914 special?
In addition, what scriptural basis is there for an invisible enthronement? See Matthew 24:30 and Revelation 1:7 - "every eye shall see him."
today, i took teryn to a birthday at a jumper 'fun' zone.
there were several jumpers, inflated slides, a jumper obstacle course, etc.
well, i got into the action and got into one of the jumpers and decided to do a flip.
That reminds me of a story I once read:
2 Kings
2:23 And [Elisha] went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
You didn't happen to curse the children and summon she-bears to tear them up, did you?
