  so there i was... (i've always wanted to start a story with that line) .

  i'm sitting here taking a look at the posts on jwd when i start to hear a commotion coming from the direction of the cats' litter box.

  i look and one of my cats is jumping and flailing around... sometimes stopping to drag its ass across the floor... with cat crap dragging behind it.

  if you study for the sake of studying it will never mean anything to you,you have to want to understand his word,you have to have a sincere desire to help others,these things can not come from study but motivation to want something better than satans world

  Yes one can make themselves believe just about anything if they think about it hard enough.

  Can someone point out the differences between a teacher and a leader?

  i spent some time in my 5 year olds kindergarten class today.....i was in awe at how one teacher can keep order and teach 20 different hyper children, even getting them to act as one.

  truly awesome sight it was........ that is when this topic popped in my head.

  any thoughts?

  I have held both positions. To me, a good teacher is more of a guide, shedding light on information the student can use to define options and make educated decisions for themselves. A leader is one that gathers information from his group and then has to make the final decision for the groups activities. A good leader will then allow each member of the group to use their strengths to the fullest to accomplish their goals.

  Just my 2cents.

  I've never seen it mentioned in any of the publications, but then I haven't read the last five years worth anyway.

  Seeing how smoking is a DFing offense, I would have to guess that smoking medical marijuana would be a DFing offense as well. ; ;Also, since most people see marijuana as an illegal narcotic, whether it has medicinal value or not, the JW view would be to not partake in anything that might bring reproach on Jehovah the organization

  Well if that is the only objection it is invalid as there are many other options, including vaporizors which work in much the same way as an inhaler for asthmatics. On a side note, asthma is a qualifying condition as MMJ helps to relax a constricted air way. I make butter for brownies, cookies and candies for oral ingestion.

  I am curious. I am an RN and work in Portland Oregon where we help people who qualify for medical marijuana obtain their state registration cards. I am a MMJ paitient myself.

  My parents are in good standing and know about my medical choices. They have seen how very ill I have been and can see the benefits of my MMJ. I am wondering if there are any JW's in good standing that hold a MMJ registration and how the WBTS views the medicinal use of the herb.

  I did a search on their website and the limited information I found was not favorable.
