What's yours??
I love Elizabeth Arden's Splendor. They stopped making it. I'm not sure when but I found a source online that I bought myself some from for Christmas. The today I was at a Marshels and I found a bottle of Splendor for $14.99.I usually spent $50.00 to $60.00 for it at Dillards. So since it's not being made anymore I bought it.Just because I love it that much if I ran out and couldn't find it anymore I would be upset.
When I got my order from the online source they had put a sample of another kind of perfume in the box.Called Exceptional.I fell in love with it.So I bought myself some of that for Christmas as well.I don't know who makes it but I love it.
I also had bought some Bora Bora by Liz Claiborne.I found that at Marshels as well a few months ago.I love Bora Bora also.
Then today I was at Marshels again and I found a new perfume that I like called Tommy Bahama.I fell in love with it as well.So I bought it for myself.I'm wearing it now and OMG do I smell good.
I also love Victoria Secrets Dream Angels Divine.I didn't buy any for Christmas this year but I did last year.I bought the biggest bottle they make of it last year.I still have half the bottle left so I don't need any just yet.
All of these are flowery girlie scents.I don't like spicy smells so I go for flowery and sweet smells. I also like clean smells.I love gift sets with the body lotion in it also so you can layer it.Most of the perfumes I bought this year came in gifts sets.

Describe YOUR Christmas season thus far!
by AK - Jeff inwhat have you done [or anticipate doing] that is special, original or just plain exciting to you?
the grandmunchkins are all excited about christmas morning, and there are stacks of presents under the tree.
the tree has become more colorful this year, as we add to it every year now.

When there's a potential fatal attraction
by freydi inwhy does this happen and when it's obvious that it's an invitation to disaster and yet almost irresistible?

I don't know I've never had one.I would guess that people get caught up in wanting what they can't have and lose themselves in the process.

I have a theory. Please take my poll!
by changeling ini'd like you all to tell me 2 or 3 things:.
1- were you raised a witness or not?.
2-if you were, was your family very "theocratic" or not so much?.
-

1. Yes
2. No. We missed a lot of meetings and never went in service as a family. We didn't do family bookstudy either. We never studied for the watchtower either.
3. Agnostic

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES RULES, RUINED JA RULE'S CHILDHOOD
by WTNightmare00 inrap star ja rule blames his familys jehovahs witness roots for ruining his childhood.. .
the im real hitmaker reveals he was never allowed to celebrate birthdays or christmases growing up - and even playing with other children was a problem for his strict grandparents, who helped raise him.. .
as a result, the rapper, real name jeffrey atkins, goes overboard when his children celebrate birthdays and special occasions.. .

The Silver Lining ?
by Junction-Guy inso what was your silver lining in all your experience as a jw?.
my first response is to say none for me.. .
i guess there is a silver lining after all.

I really can't think of a silver lining to my JW experance.I can think of a silver lining to my leaving.I got to meet some really great people both online and off.People here people at other boards.I've made some really good friends.
I can think of one more silver lining. My uncle died 2 years ago and I was by his side like I was supposed to be.Had I not been treated with disrespect and hurt by that elder telling me to go away I would have never typed in Jehovahs Witnesses in my browser.I would have never found you guys.

Did being a JW make you overly judgemental?
by Frequent_Fader_Miles inlooking back, being a jw meant constantly analyzing and categorizing others.
on field service, persons were either "sheeplike" or "goatlike".
in the congregation it went even further.

noni1974
No because I felt judged every single time I steped foot into a KH.
However most of my best friend in my life have been very judgemental.I have had 4 BFF's and 2 of them judged every single person they see.The last one judged based on vibes. If she got a bad vibe from you the first time she met you that was it she didn't like you and would never give anyone a second chance. She juged every other friend I ever had and every boyfirend I had and hated them all.She jugded me all the time as well.I passed 49% of the time. Now you know why she's no longer my BFF.This one was raised a JW and left at 18.I don't know if that had something to do with it or not.She may have just been a bitch to be a bitch.
The other one was very oppionated and if you didn't agree with her you were wrong. She based her judgement on whether or not you agreed with her.She did however help me see that staying in a cult just for my family's happieness was dumb. She helped me out of the JW's.
The other 2 were some what diffrent.1 was my BFF as a teenager and was a JW as well.We grew apart after I told her her husband was cheating on her.The other one and I are still BFF's and we actually see each other as sisters.I met her as a JW also. She got DF ed about a year or so after I DA ed.She doesn't judge anyone.
