Been there done that. I am DA ed though so my situation is a little different than yours. I could not live a lie. I could not suppress myself to make others happy so I offically left. I lost my sister and brother and every aunt, uncle, and cousin I had also. You do move on sooner or later. I know that alothough they are not in my life on a day to day basis they do care about me in their own way. They ask my mother about me every now and then. I at least have my parents in my life. That is more than some have so I don't feel like I have it that bad.

Botz I'm not sure Ohio is a place I would move to from Mexico. It gets very cold here. LOL Although there are a lot of spanish speaking people here. You never know until you try. You might like it here.

My first semester at college was a sucess!!

i ended up with a 3.57 gpa and i'm able to join phi beta kappa, which is the honnors society at my school.
not to bad for an ex jw that never graduated from high school.

Yes I'm taking Med Term next semester. I don't know about anatomy classes. I'm not sure if there are a part of my program or not. I am taking medical billing and coding but that is part of another program that I'm adding to what I'm already taking. I'm also thinking of taking a 14 credit class on Quickbooks that my school offers. I can take it after I graduate and the adds in the paper I see for the job I want they all say must know Quickbooks so I think it will help.

I took Intro To Microcomputer Applications which is Microsoft Office software based. It was one of the courses I got an A in. I loved it. It covered Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point. I want to be a office manager in a doctors office so those will come in handy.

I'm a Business Admin major. I've been out of the Jw's for 12 yearsnow and I'm 36 years old. I'm at community college right now. I may end up going to a 4 year school sooner or later. I'll see how I feel about that in the next year or so.

I got my grades today. I got 3 A's and 2 B's. I ended up with a 3.57 GPA and I'm able to join Phi Beta Kappa, which is the Honnors Society at my school. Not to bad for an EX JW that never graduated from high school. I'm so happy!!

do you miss anything from when you were a jw?
by Newborn ina few of my friends who also used to be jw's, say they miss certain things abt it...i can honestly say that i don't miss a single thing (my sister obviously who's still in but nothing else).. before i could sometimes miss having such a strong belief but that's also gone.
i guess i've moved on big time.

First Semester of College Completed Tonight!

I can't believe we forgot Sister Elderette. Offically a wife of an elder, unoffically thinks she is in charge of the KH and the entire social secne. If you cross her or, she doesn't think you do enough, you never get invited to parties no matter who is giving them.
