I was force added to this group. I am upset because I was trying to keep a low profile on Facebook due to my mother shunning me because of a comment I made last year about the Conti case. It had leaked through the family grape vine because I am friends with 2 cousins on Facebook and one of them still has conntact with my family and it showed up on her feed and my family members saw it. My mother no longer talks to me because of this comment I made and I don't need some start up weird anti watchtower group that I didn't join to mess up any progress I may make with that situation. This could have been a really bad thing for me, in fact it still can, just because I haven't heard anything yet doesn't mean I won't. I don't need my mother to get anymore reasons to not talk to me.

i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

I got added to the AWAA Facebook group. I was not aware that I had been added until yesterday. I don't know who added me to it and if I find out I will delete them from my Facebook friends. My Facebook is MY Facebook and I will join the groups I want to, I will not allow myself to be added to some group I don't know anything about or care to know anything about. Shame on who ever did this. Shame on you.

Yeah, JW elders have no shame about the crap they will pull in a time like this.
My uncle was dying and I was there at his death bed side when an elder told me to go find a place by myself to wait for news because I was making all the JW's uncomfortable by being there. I stormed out and gathered all of my stuff and was leaving when my mother called my cell phone to tell me that no one had said anything about me being there and I was needed by my dying uncle and his wife as support to my family. My aunt then got on the phone and talked to me some more to calm me down and begged me to come back. The elder left, not me. I went home later that night after my uncle has passed and googled JW's and found this place and a few others. That was almost 8 years ago now. That elder knows what he did, because my family made a stink about it. Of course now the scales are gone from my eyes and I will never go back. Thanks Mr elder. Up to that point I had always left the door open to going back.

She was 16 years old when she suddenly passed away. I miss her.

I am going to college now. I got my GED in 2010 at the age of 35 ( passed on the first try) and now I am an Honors student as well as a member of Phi Theta Kappa the Honors Society for 2 year schools. I intend to transfer after I graduate from my community college to a University. The cost is not even a factor right now, for me. I am learning so much about myself and my abilities, that I would pay for the rest of my life just to be educated. I feel that no matter what the costs are in the end, it is worth it to me, because I know I am not stupid or dumb and that I can do this. JW's be damned, for trying to keep me down and scaring me into not educating myself before.

so apologies for any error you may encounter in the process of making sense of my logic.. i am from a small village in a destitute and war ravaged african country, 80 percent of people in my town live on less than 50cent in a day and myself included, no roads, no hospital, no public institution, no social welfare support, no national security institutiion, nothing, just tribal factions exchanging agricultural produce and i have always wondered why jehovah would have to put the preaching work ahead of a poverty eradication program at this desperate time of our existence.. .
it was an emotional adventure on finding answers to that question that led me here.

As to the pedophilia, let them know I know AND report them to the proper authorities.
As a victim of child rape and more than one pediphile I find this discusting. When a child reports such acts to a trusted adult that child relies on that adult to help them. Questioning the child to get more information before you report it to the police is both stupid and a violation of the trust placed in you by the child. Stupid because you are not a trained police detective or a psychologist and could cause more damage to the child and make the child feel that they are lying or wrong and a violation of trust because, as the adult the child told, you should go immediately to the police who has trained detectives and psychologists to question the child in a mannor that won't leave them feeling like they are lying or wrong.
I know from what happened to me that when I told my parents what happened they believed me and went to the police. They didn't try to play detective to see if I was lying or making it up. I know what it feels like to be both believed and not believed. When I was raped at 5 and molested my parents went straight to the police. When my JW cousin touched me they went to the elders instead of the police. Guess which one I felt more guilty about?? The first two times I was an inocent child, it wasn't my fault. The third time I was alone with my older male cousin and I shouldn't have been, I mean he was a young man with urges and I as a 10 year old should have known that and protected myself be not being alone with him.
It freaks me out to know that there are people out there in the world who would take it upon themselves to play detective rather than believe the child right away and go to the proper authorities immediately. It's attitude like this that keep pedophiles safe. It's actions like this that make the child feel that what happened is their fault and beilieve me when I say it is something a child will carry for the rest of their lives. You should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking that you could handle something of this magnitued on your own.

My goodness I remeber hearing about this way back when I was little. Honestly it scared me. I heard the bomber put nail in the bomb so that when it exploded it killed everyone from shrapnel, but they were praying at the time so had their heads bowed and all survived. It was blamed on an unbelieving mate of a sister going to that hall.
Keep in mind my comment is the memory of a 8 year old child when this happened. As an adult I thought it was all BS and didn't really happen. Now that I know this wasn't just an JW urban myth, I'm kind of shocked about it. I'm not sure about the nails part at all, did that really happen??
