btw i love his movie reviews they are down to earth and not snobby.
It was a great read but I would like a link to the origional writting by Roger Ebert. The first lessons I learned in college is that you never trust an uncited source. The blog starts out in second person talking about Twitter posts made my Mr. Ebert then it goes into first person with no source cited for where the article comes from and where we can read it at it's original source.
Not doubting the the story so much as I would like to see an outside source besides a EX JW blog.

i re-read it after someone posted to it and brought it back on active topics and it was kind of prophetic in a way ... well, i had the 5 years part right if nothing else:.
it would be nice to visit the site (or whatever one is around then) in 5 years time to let people know how we're doing and find only a few of the same people still around.

A few years ago I posted what congergation I had went to as a child and one poster PM ed me and she knew me as a child. We PM back and forth here and there.
I also know NewChapter and I think I may have outted her because we had lunch the other day and the mother of one of my childhood best friend saw us and I'm sure she knew me. It is widely known that I DA ed 14 years ago.

SafeatHome I'm in Cleveland. I am young enough to be your daughter. LOL My dad is your age. Age doesn't matter and getting together and meeting up would be a great idea. I've been to a couple of apastafests and they are amazing. I've been out for 14 years myself. I will send you a PM about the meetup scheduled for next month in Akron.

JamieBowers I think it's in August becasue the email I got said Satureday August 27, 2011 at 4 PM at a coffee shop in Akron. I thought it was this weekend until I read the email again yesterday. LOL Anyway I was hoping to go. I hope to see you there next month!!

I remeber a few years in the late 80's early 90's that we had to go to Pittsberg for our convention at Three Rivers. This was after they stopped using the arena in Richfield and before the CSU convocation center opened. My family made it one year and never went back because my gradparents and mother could not stand the heat of sitting in the sun all day. We always went to a different convention than we were assigned. BTW I'm in Cleveland now.
