Sometimes I did, but not always. If we were visisting a country that had a branch office I always tried to visit it. My x-wife hated that. She said they were all the same. As far as I know she's not a dub anymore either.

I'll Pray for you. What's your feelings when someone says that to you?
by El Kabong infor those of us who left organized religion, how does it make you feel when a xtian says they will pray for you because you don't believe the same as they do?
personally, in my opinion, that is a very obnoxious statement, especially if i don't ask or want someone to pray for me.
to me, that's saying that i am wrong and they are right, and they are praying to god that i will see things their way.

I would like to say: "Please, don't," but I usually say: "Thank-you."
Such a waste of effort for the prayer: "Use you mind and you will find, that nothing fails like prayer."

i graduated from high in 1968, in the heat of the 1975 hysteria. Even though I wanted to go to college it never occured to me to seriously consider it. I had been so brainwashed. The school superindentant offered to help me get a scholarship but I turned him down. I did OK as a computer programmer as I was lucky enough to be able to learn it on the job. I never would have chosen that field if I had been in a normal family and gone to college. I was always angry even when still a witness that I wasn't allowed to follow my dreams.
At the age of 53 I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Spanish and I'm now in graduate shcool. Even though I'm doing it now I'm still bitter I didn't do it while young.

Big Tex, I appreciate what you said very much. I do have a tendency to overact and I'm verry sorry. If it's OK I'll send you an e-mail, telling you a little more about myself. The best, chris

Did Christ start a cult?
by petespal2002 ininteresting thought.
if we say that jw's, mormons, etc.
are 'cults' because they are not affilated with any 'mainstream' religious organisation, and that their founder is a man who becomes a sort of figurehead, could not the same be said of the organisation founded by christ?

IMHO, yes.
