  How? My buddy and pal was chasing her sister.

  Where?

  At a circuit assembly. She was 13, I was 15.

  We were re-introduced in late1975 early 1976.

  Married in 1977, still togther.

  The "Jo Ho Ho" project

  these are photos of the felixstowe kingdom hall in suffolk , england , after it received some free decorations from an anonymous group calling themselves the johoho project.

  it is thought that the group limit their activities to felixstowe at the moment although other cells throughout the country are thought to be lying dormant.

  the police are recording it as a religious hate crime (which tells you more about our crazy government than it does about jws)..

  Volunteering at Assemblies.

  come on i know many of you did.. i used to volunteer because 1. my mum forced me as a kid, then 2. i wisend up to the fact i'd miss quite a bit of the session if i volunteered.. many hours were spent cleaning stadiums, the loos (vomit), picking up litter.

  in the days when they served meals at the assemblies we peeled potatoes, chopped onions, cooked, served the food / cooldrinks.

  took the tickets.

  Yes I did. I did food service and liked it. Might have had something to do with the fact that I was a teenage boy and all those teenage girls were there.

  Did you SAVE money by using a hotel on the recommended lodging list?

  i haven't seen this question posted here before, but did any of you who stayed at one of the hotels on the society's recommended lodging list save money than if you attended a hotel not on the list?.

  having seen a few of these lists, it seems the rates given are expensive..

  i thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.

  i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.

  those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.

  If you want to consider having a father that was on the original body of elders in the congregation as of 1972, as a "spiritually weak family" you got me.

  Somehow I have a problem connecting lackluster with having a father that was an elder. Having a father who was giving talks in the surrounding congregations, I got to see many different Kingdom Halls and meet many of those my age. Does that match your idea of a "spiritual weak family?"
