ok, i'm sure all of us have met some incredibly bizarre jws over the years --- i have met some that could have been characters in a movie...just unbelievably weird.
i've shared some of my stories with a good friend (non jw) and she swears i'm making this stuff up.

I'm not sure I find this all that weird. I went to school with a couple of guys who bought such a hearse. They left it basic black but installed one of the brightest red interiors I've ever seen. They installed massive speakers,amp and the then state of the art 8 track player.
The mortician that sold it to them refused to sell then a casket to complete the scene.

Except the court may hold you responsible if someone drinks to the point where they are drunk, leaves your home and get involved in an accident. You provided the "booze"!
as a witness, most if not all of my friends were married by 18, with many woman married by 17. it was so normal, that when i left the religion and met all these people married in their 20's and later, that it seemed like they were starting late.
i actually was a late person in getting married, i was 23. i remember being one of the few people my age in the congregation, not married yet.
i actually remember thinking, where am i going to find someone to marry, that is not yet taken.

i was reading some of the first " topics " on this db and i noticed that a few former elders and publishers .
were stumbled by this date.... i was born after 1975 and i'd really appreciate any comments from brothers and sisters who were around .
what i've noticed from personal experience is that many brothers and sisters feel that only " a few " were stumbeled .
I'm surprised that you haven't been blasted for this. From past experience on this board anyone who takes such a stand on 1975 is either lying or nuts( I have been labled such). But like you my person experience is that not much was made of 1975 locally. Such stuff as has been described here did not, repeat, did not occur where I grew up.

maybe this has been discussed here before.

) but, if i remember correctly, the wts defined the human soul as being merely one's physical body.
i just saw the newest dr who...loved it, can't wait for the next episode.
