Hi Path. Glad your having a good day.
Did you get all the pieces to fit? (Sigh)
it was a beautiful day here today.
i must say that i'm the happiest i've been my whole life.
for so long i've been so jaded, so trying to make the pieces fit.

crisis of conscience, gtr, and all the rest etc.
i just recieved getile times by coj...i ordered it 2 months ago when i was full into analysing dub doctrine...but since then, i just dont care anymore about dub doctrine or refuting it...but its still an interesting read though.i'm going through it v e r y s l o w l y..... has anyone else read some books from here: www.commentarypress.com.
"in search of christian freedom" looks interesting?...sign of the last days?...dont all xdubs have to read coc...isn't it a sort of right of passage for you guys?..
There is never enough time for reading! I don't like to admit it but my 'internet reading' has really cut into my available reading time.
In recent years I have drifted away from fiction. I tend towards biographies and non-fiction now, not sure why I have more interest in these, I only know that when I read most fiction now-days I feel irritated and skim read most of the book with very little recollection of any details etc afterward.
My youngest sister was saying to me the other day how much she enjoys reading well-written books, the kind that take a page or more to paint in words a picture of a sunset or scene. The style of the older writers appeals more to her and not the current ones who write about action and crime. I was dismayed to realise that I feel just the opposite. I am in a hurry for the facts or the 'bottom-line' and I don't want to be bothered with extra words that just get in the way of what's happening. I wonder if this is a result of the action movies I tend to watch now and my internet addiction? My sister does not have television in her home and rarely goes to the movies. Or on the other hand, maybe it is just a result of getting older and realising that life is so unpredictable and short?
Of course when it comes to fiction, I'm with you 7, Tolkien can always be re-read and re-read. I also enjoy re-reading David Eddings.
would anyone mind doing one of those famous internet introduction sessions?.
since i completely and thoroughly filled out my profile, i think you all know enough about me :) and if you are bad, bad people, you might even know my history with the jws.
but, i'll give you the run-down, since i'm asking.. my real name is teresa (tishie being a nickname from my husband [tish, actually], which i adapted for the 'net about 5 or 6 years ago because i didn't like running into other teresas... eh, rf?)..
Wow! Go away for 'a few days' and there's a whole lot of new faces to catch up with!
I would like to say hi to Kristen, Tishie, joel, Spock, Hojan and any others that I might have missed who have just found this board. It is a great group here! Very accepting, non-judgemental, upbuilding and fun to associate with. I am more a lurker than a poster - don't ever have that much that seems worth adding. Not that I'm like that irl, 'ya'll would hardly be able to get a word in edgewise' irl.
I would also like to say a special hello to 'Mrs Simon' - Angharad - thankyou for sharing Simon with us! I really appreciate this board and the time and effort Simon puts into it.

Hey waiting - where did the 'old' come from?
I merely meant it seems you have experienced a lot in life and have accumulated some understanding and wisdom along with it. I didn't mean to insult you in anyway.

Dear Solid Sender, I am sorry that you are hurting so much!
There are many here who would genuinely like to hear your story and help you find a way to heal.
Why don't you find someone here you feel comfortable with (like maybe waiting, she seems very wise) and share your bad experiences. It seems to me your current method of lashing out with empty useless words and name-calling is accomplishing nothing more than relieving your frustrations and alienating you from everyone here.
There is always a certain amount of anger felt when a person feels betrayed, this is natural, but then they move on from there. While no-one has the right to tell you when it is time to 'move-on' just be aware that when you are ready there are plenty of people here at this board that care enough to be there for you (including myself) if you should ever want.
In the mean-time please don't 'flail' out so hard at us all. We're people too!
this is obviously tongue-in-cheek, but supposedly a real letter to a justice in idaho.. dear justice eismann:.

7 sorry for the unnecessary question, I completely missed Red's post about Don B. (Did I tell you I was cross-eyed as well as ignorant?) I have never seen any of his work but I enjoy the 'Far Side' type of humour.
I love seascapes. Is there any way we can ever prevail upon you for a sample of your work you talented lady?

Waiting I'm sure we have a cute name for them here too, but I'm not game to ask anyone
Sorry about the spelling mistake. Over the next few days I will 'discreetly?' ask around to see what the aussie peculiarities are for these types of delicacies. We use 'sweetbreads' for cooked brains (also the pancreas), here too, I think it is an English name isn't it? I wonder if that is why my parents called me 'sweety' when I was younger?
One of my Mum's favourite dishes is tripe with onions and white sauce. Uggh! I don't have a taste for any of the internal organs used in gastronomic delicacies. I don't even like the 'kidney' in the common 'ole steak and kidney pie!
See Red not only 'minimal gustatory experience' but 'taste' too! The 'hoagie' I know and I believe I will have a coffee cabinet after all thanks. Hey I would have known exactly what you were looking for if you had asked me for the 'bubbler'. We have them in most of the school yards here as well as parks and some public buildings etc. So we're not that backward after all?

collateral damage= we just shot the hell out of some civilians.
friendly fire= shot the hell out of some of our own.
new light= we stuffed up big time.
Hi Zep. I got the sarcastic bit thanks.
I was just curious about the KH's. I had no idea there were so many halls in the US that were built without windows. I wonder why that is? Is it a security precaution or a costing factor?
We have some nice halls here in Australia and most that I have been to have lots of big windows. Only the ones in the city where they are surrounded by other big buildings have smaller windows. Have you seen the new assembly hall they built in Sydney Zep? It has quite pleasant surroundings don't you think?

Hey Zep. Some interesting definitions here.
I don't think I've ever been to any KH's without windows here in Australia though. Thought it was only in big cities like New York. Do we have any in Australia that don't have windows?

Boy! I wish I knew what or who y'all were talking about!
Red supposin' I decided I was brave enough to have a 'stuffie' what would the 'chorico' or 'linguica' be? And a 'coffee cabinet'? The mind boggles.
Dubby I've heard of 'chitterlings' before but I don't know what they are either. (btw thanks for the kind words about my family the other day)
7 Do you mind me asking who this 'hysterical' Don B. is?
Yeh I know we Aussies are an ignorant lot aren't we!
Frenchy your other post similar to this subject was under '..a letter to Dr Laura' by Jokemyster on 5/31. Both equally as good I think.
