  My Message To You

  to many people, the new year symbolizes hope--a chance to cast away that which has bothered us, and to cultivate all of the things we have dreamt about throughout the year (but never found the energy to do).

  i both believe in and love the spirit of the new year, but it is vital for us to remember that the hope we feel now is merely the result of a collective belief in ourselves and in each other.

  there is no more opportunity on january 1st than there is on any other day of the year, yet we feel inspired and motivated to change our lives.

  i used to love that show!

  and when the model kit came out i went nuts when i saw it in the store.

  when it came time to put it together, mom and dad wouldn't let me put one of the decals on.. guess which one?.

  HELP!!! Hubby turning home into 'Book Study'

  my husband, who's a ministerial servant, was approached by an elder and asked if he'd offer our home to become a 'book study' meeting place.. i'm a bit of a loner, and need lots of peace, quiet, privacy, and solitude; plus to boot you all know i'm living this sort of double life, you know, just doing the very minimum to remain a witness.. this is awful!!!!!!!!!!

  i can't deal with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  that is just awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just tell him you will not attend as you cannot stand the pressuree,,and you will just stay in the bedroom.....GOOD LUCK!!!

  Who needed Psychological help?

  did you ever need psychological help when you were in the "truth", or maybe after you left?

  would you say that people who come here on this site are in need of psychological help, since they can't seem to get over their bad experience as a jehovah witness?

  ok,,,,the organization is not totally responsable,,,,but i would figure 95%....they almost killed me ,,literally.....

  at the start of fading,,,,,i needed to see a medical doctor every 2 weeks,,,anitdepressants and a therapist...every other week,,,,

  i am doing better,,,but it has been slow and painful...would NOT have make it without the help of "worldily" people,,,great medical attention and this board....

  i came so close to dying....and all the organization could do was punish... "shudder"

  1. sometimes life just sucks, take it and move on.. 2. scarlett was right, some things are best left until tomorrow.. 3. never count on someone else to look out for your best interests, if its important follow through yourself.. 4. home is where you lay your head down at night, wherever that is.. 5. dont even think this is the worst day of my life, it can get worse and you dont want to know how.. 6. keep your greatest treasures in your heart, youll never run out of storage space.. 7. give more love than you think you can, broken hearts do heal and heal stronger.. 8. everyone has two families, one they were born to and one they chose.

  9. you can always make friends, start with hi.. 10. the greatest measure is not what you have, its what you are willing to give.. happy new year!!.

  Our Anniversary Surprise

  yesterday, the kids surprised us with a sunset dinner cruise, as their gift to us for our anniversary.

  it was very elegant, on the top deck of a large catamaran, dining vessel, off of waikiki and diamond head.

  we had waiters (not a buffet) and great entertainment.
