ok, don't think i'm nuts, but i have a rather personal question to ask you.
it's just that i saw a kid do this and i've never seen it in my life, and then a friend told me it happens to her too...every time.... ok, so the question is:.
do you shed tears and get a runny nose when doing number two?.

i am watching what i think is the dumbest movie ever put on film, the quick and the dead.
sharon stone (who i think looks great with no panties) absolutely sucked in this stupid movie.
whats with the plot of this yawner, its been done a bit too much.she was terrible and gene hackman must have needed the money when he signed on to do this groaner..just my opinion and we all know what they about opinions...they are just like assholes, we all have them and they all stink...
I want to pipe in for "Oh Brother" as well.
I absolutely loved it. Maybe I'm biased because I love Homer's "The Odyssey" which "Oh Brother" is a loose adaptation of.
The sirens in the movie were great, but it's obvious I think that. Look at my user name.

Are we defining bad as being poorly filmed? ... poorly acted? ... poorly written?
Are we defining bad as being "I just didn't like it"?
I loved "Dogma". Great satire.
I hated "Scarey Movie".
I enjoyed the last "Crocodile Dundee", maybe because I didn't have any expectations.
"Living Out Loud" made me stop and re-evaluate my life. I love that movie.
I thought "Sphere" was just OK.
"Zoolander" was pretty stupid, but in a fun sort of way.
My vote for worse movie ever, because it was badly acted, badly written, badly directed and extremely crass was "Freddy Got Fingered". Don't know why I rented it. Couldn't get past the first 20 minutes or so. Disgusting flick with no redeaming value imo.

since there are new people coming to this board on fairly regular basis with questions about the jw religion, i thought i'd pose this topic.. many, upon leaving the organization, don't really know where to turn for guidance.
"look to yourself" doesn't really cut it when you've been told how to think your whole life.. many choose atheism, which is fine.
however, for those still looking for a religion, here is a site that lists many of the worlds major religious movements.
1. Neo-Pagan (100%)
2. New Age (91%)
3. Unitarian Universalism (83%)

a question for all the bible experts: .
who or what does revelation 11:1-4 apply to?
Willpower,
Then NONE of the little arguments over who was who, when such & such happened, how many this, how big that, you have to do this & that & still more of this MEANS ANYTHING. (insert the bible quote that fits this) That is why Jesus said, come to me my load is light.I agree with your thoughts Will Power.
Here is a not often quoted phrase attributed to Jesus:
Jesus said,
"If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you.
If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you.
Rather, the kingdom is within you and it is outside you..."

since many witnesses choose to die - or risk death - in .
operations that call for blood, it is not surprizing that.
they used to concern themselves with not eating blood.. so, you had district overseers like br.
There used to be a ban on lecithin? Too funny!
I'm a manager at a natural foods store. I've gotten requests for NON soy based lecithin, which is almost impossible to find!
JW's were worried about it being derived from blood and I've got customers who would be happy to just find one not derived from soy.
Ironic. [8>]

ps: Mars Bar is/was a candy bar. Isn't it made any more?
interesting movie that culminates with babette cooking a sumptuous meal for a group of devout christians who feel guilty about enjoying anything because of the sinful nature of enjoyment and their fear that enjoyment of life now will diminish their eternal reward so they vow to each other not to show any signs that they are enjoying the meal.. i saw it the other night and it always reminds me of the witnesses i knew back in the 60s.
these pious christians that life was to be savored and enjoyed now and not wait for the promise of a hereafter.
Sounds like the premise for the movie "Chocolat".
I enjoy any movie with Johnny Depp, but would recommend it even if he wasn't in it. lol

some might be following the andrea yates trial (the mother who drowned her 5 children).
the march 18, 2002 issue of newsweek, has an article on page 8, entitled "examining a spiritual leader's influence," that's about the yates trial.
i'll list some quotes from this article:.
Sad.
I can see how a religion built upon fear, mixed with bad brain chemistry as Six said, played a role.
Like JT (somewhat) said in another thread, it's not a stretch to see that Witnesses have the same mentality when they'll let their kids die to avoid a blood transfusion.
Yates may have considered she was saving her kids from hell. Witnesses think they are saving their kids from dieing at Armageddon or assuring their resurrection.
Sad
